i bought a set of strip led's and installed them in my car. i have one under each footwell including the rear. i also put one inside the dash to create a glow over the glovebox and over the center console. very similar to the mercedes benz s class (w222) generation led lighting. looks great and is a whole bunch cheaper than the ford one.

Do you have the link where you got them from? Have any pics of them installed? How difficult was it to do?

as requested here are some pics of the lighting and a general idea of how i setup. i put the receiver box in the arm rest box, and put the signal receiver sticking out of it so that way the its not being blocked. I bought a receiver box and 44 key remote of amazon for 5 dollars. The 44 key remote is great because it has tons of pre set color choices but also has adjustability with 6 DIY colors. So you can program 6 colors to memory of your liking. And theres the crazy show features like fading and flashing and all that stuff. But otherwise its a great upgrade for ambient lighting at least in the footwells and the center console. Im planning on working on the gauges and doing an ambient light setup with that. Will post more about that later when i have time. Hope this helps.

Wow, that's amazing. You did a great job! I'm going to order it today. The only thing I'm worried about is running the wires, I gotta figure out how to get behind the panels. Where did you hide the wire from the arm rest box going to the dash?

That's some genius strip placement magnetticmadness, but I have to ask...why would you go with that controller when there are so many better options available?

Wifi...Bluetooth? etc...

Nice work either way! Impressive creativity

Nick,

Do you guys have LED strips that will work under the gauge overhang (and foot wells) like those above on wifi/Bluetooth?

Our Footwell kits and RGB strips work perfectly with our Bluetooth/WiFi RGB controllers

The link you gave us shows a set of 4 led strips which enought for 4 footwell. How about center console ? Did you buy an additional led strip? if yes, how did you connect to control box? I assume you control all led strip with a single remote control .

Lol great question. I was just about to ask the same. 4 will suffice for now, but I would need 2 more later down the line if I decide to do the back footwells as well.

SBLee29 i routed the wires under the trim panel right under the speedometer. and then routed them under the central console.
tritran18518 i had another strip laying around that i used. you can buy individual rolls or strips on amazon i think and then cut them for your desired length. i connected it to the control box via this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OMKDUB0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
i used two of these since there are 5. so i have room for 3 more strips
Diode Dynamics Thank you! I already had this led kit laying around with that remote so i just went with that. ill check out some better options though! thanks!
