I'm going to start a seperate thread for my issue but the same problem happened to me today. Was stopped at a traffic light and when it turned green I hit the gas but it didn't have any acceleration. I then gave it more gas and it took off. About 5 seconds after that I heard a very load clunking and then grinding sound. Looked in my rearview and saw nothing but thick black smoke. Then the warning lights came on saying low oil pressure and it went into limp mode and gave me the wrench. I pulled it off into a parking lot leaving a long trail of oil. The entire engine bay was plastered with oil but mostly heavy on the driver side. I had to have it towed to the dealership. I'm going to get some pics online and will link the thread I start in here to help others.

My engine blew at 12k, no mods nothing, they claimed the piston rings were installed incorrectly from factory. they replaced the short block. The car is still currently broken, the turbo is not creating boost past 5psi, (all vacuum hoses are connected correctly), and there is a check engine light. I opened a BBB regarding the vehicle and they scheduled a meeting with my dealership to have the car looked at by a certified ford repair tech. I am trying to get out of owning this car. I have 1 more year on my lease. The scraping whistling sound coming from the turbo leads me to believe the turbo has been broken since I started noticing performance loss at 400 miles on the car. I have oil on the front of the crank case which looks to be coming out of the crank case seam and in the bottom of the throttle body.. My diagnosis oil seals in the turbo broke oil and vacuum going where it should not be. I asked the if they checked the turbo after replacing the short block they said they had no reason to check it and to drive it like I stole it.

Anytime an engine gets damage were debris became a problem, the turbo needs to be inspected on exhaust side.
Need to pull cartridge from exhaust housing so you can inspect the blades.
Anything that got "lose" in the cylinders goes out exhaust and bad part with turbo is the part can stay in housing a while (spinning around) an eat away the impeller tips before all of it exits.
