Not sure why i new head unit would be needed in 3 seconds. That honestly doesn't make any sense. As long as the inlet is filtered it wouldn't matter if the tube is there or not. I am in no way saying that big ole piece of foam that won't flow

Also, I am glad you got yours at such a great price, however I said with the upgrades I want. I want to have potential of 93 octane past 700rwhp+. This means the stage 2 package that beef has, upgrading the head unit to the D series, making everything black, getting a gauge, race valve (though not big race) and now we are at $8,338. I believe that steps into base whipple.

With that said, no calls yet and more paruzing
d1 and 2200 will both be very efficient well into the 8s without issue.

so 700 would not be an issue

again, the 8 rib comp vortech kit like heinz is running is only an 800 upgrade with the blower that is 1000wheel potential, but still very efficient at 650+

That cheap foam filter will get sucked in the head unit the first time you hit boost ..

There are some that are running a filter directly on the blower or no filter at all. Most of the ones That I have seen doing this are running a large blower like a JT or F1 series.

Yeah I am following you Beef and in reality I would go Paxton cause price point however, I love how that procharger sounds. That is my only issue. I might not even need D series, not entirely sure.

It is possible that filter would get sucked in. However many people run with either nothing, a wired filter, or a filter of this sort on it without it getting sucked in :) That is all I am referring to. Therefore I still wonder about the extra air vs cooler air, cause yessir it can be done!

at the track, we don't run anything on the blower, not even a screen

with the screen, what you have to look at, if you were to pull all those little wire pieces side by side, how much inlet you be blocking off

Well it is your car and can do whatever you please.. I would never run a car on the street with no filter nor would I use a cheap foam filter .. But if that is what you want go ahead .. As far as HP 550 to 560 is plenty for me , hell you will do nothing but spin at 550 HP .. If you want 700 HP fine , you will just spin more on the street than me ..Just punching mine from idle it ends up with a big smoke show in the first 3 gears .. Mine even from a 40 or 60 roll on street tires ends up as a tail wagging smoke show ... Kind of fun but you go nowhere real fast .. :D It's your car and your money , pick what you feel is the best for what you want to do .. You asked some good questions and I gave you my best answers based on my set up .. I hope in some way it helped you ...

Hahaha, it def wouldn't be a cheap filter. It would be something GOOD for the application that is for sure. Just random thought anyway. You have been more than helpful, I just re-read your post. I may not need 700 as I see with less than 600 you are breaking into the 10s. However I want low 10s almost 9s but also streetable. Thinking maybe the P1 with a couple of other mods I have will more than do the trick now.

Hes saying that filter looks like crap. A quality filter would be fine on the end
