Whats the part no. or link for genuine shaker sub?
I'll have to dig around and find it. they were about 400 for the whole part on a US site.
I'll probably use the JBL or Blankput powered sub box.

Can someone who's taken delivery please confirm if the wiring is there in the boot to add the stock subwoofer?

It is not their to add the factory subwoofer, I have confirmed this how? I bought a complete factory subwoofer ready to bolt in and no pigtail plug for it. I was sad to say the least!

Our situation in Aus seems unique though - we've got the Shaker branding but no sub.

Same as me kind sir, my car does say shaker, but it is only the 9 speaker setup no subwoofer.

Thanks for the info! The service manual is misleading, it says Shaker = 9 Speakers + Subwoofer.

That plus no line lock and no manual option for the convertible. Not happy dammit!

That is perhaps the most puzzling of omissions.

It boggles the mind mate. Being a driver of a manual convertible 'Stang since 2002, where manual was the only option back then, I presumed the long term owners wanting to update to a similarly optioned car would definitely be catered for. Nup!

I have come from 2 autos which I just couldn't stand. I need a manual, but I agree it isn't the best transmission option. But what is logic when it comes to cars?

Me too MuzzStang. Probably the biggest disappointment for me (I like you drive a 2001 Cobra convertible); this followed very closely by the Tri-Bars, red tail lights and the hood vents (to me these are quintessential mustang features )

Anyway rant over - its been covered a thousand times on this forum......

No worries!
Anyone thinking of making a custom fibreglass enclosure & install an aftermarket sub?

Ill be having a custom job done, they did a great job on my last car. they will do the security/dash cams at the same time. I can use some of the equipment from the previous install!

I havnt heard much about shaker, but I know my alpine sub did a great job in the last car. Will have to see how the rest of the speakers are when the car gets here, might be able to leave them as is!
