My car will be on today's boat to Southampton.

So mines coming over to Southampton today but my dealer still knows nothing although he is expecting a delivery on Monday then that will be it until the New Year.

He told me he has 20 Mustangs sitting around as the owners don't want them until next month. I kind of understand hanging on until March for the new reg but even tho' Jan cars are registered as 2016, they still get 65 plates.

Anyhow I took the opportunity to ask him not to put the front plate holder on. Good thing as they do it automatically it would appear.

[MENTION=14112]croyde[/MENTION], Another post on one of the forums mentioned 'Secrutiy stickers' for the cars in southampton which is causing a delay in them getting to the dealers. The dealerships overall are pretty uninformed (and lack initiative in general), i'd be calling, asking him to talk to Karen/their logistics partner and getting your car up to the dealership ASAP so you can collect before Xmas.
Some people just want their car tax'd, registered etc in the new year, also christmas finances can sometimes hit people hard so would rather that 'died down' before they coughed the money up. Or they're morons and think ford will do a January sale on the mustangs :headbonk:

Mines exactly the same, my dealer has no idea mine is on its way to Southampton today, they tell me its still at the American Docks, so think there going to be surprised if it does turn up next week! Saying that I'm not sure how the delivery works whether the dealer has to organise it or whether it just turns up at the dealer??!! :shrug:

Dealers don't seem to have a clue when they are coming (mine didn't!). My advice to those waiting would be to get on the phone as soon as you know your car hits Southampton/en route to dealer. I only knew this information for my order through a member on this forum, had it not been for him & my follow up phone call, I definitely wouldn't have got my car when I did! For reference - mine turned up at the dealers on a Thursday afternoon, I collected Saturday morning
