doesn't seem like a positive thing for a DD, id rather shut off the safety features when I want. All of my vehicles have been tuned but I've never asked for that

That's why They program another key for it. If you have two keys to your car they program the tune to one key and leave the other for the stock tune. That way you have a "track key" for when you want the track tune, and another key for the stock tune.

Crap, I'm in, worth every penny IMO! When I had my 13 Boss I ordered it, like $300 ...

Best part: the lopey idle totally - you could see the hood shake around at the lights ... I never ever used the non trac key once I got it!

Maybe I missed it; link? Timeframe till its out?

I don't actually have a link. I saw the article on Facebook and then saw someone mention it on stangnet also. It's on page 39 of you can find that online catalog. Release was spring of 2016. Looks like the only place you can currently buy the catalog is at dealerships. Can't find the Facebook link now :(

Cool, thanks. I saw it on stangnet too. Yep, delear is also who has to program it. When I had my Boss, they ordered a special CD to program it; I already had the keys ... looks like in this case I need the key and the software package. I'm so in, can't wait

Yep!!! I'm super excited...the day after I took delivery on my 15 GT I said "Oh, I have a manual transmission, I can do a track key....oh wait, no nevermind..." so, I'm glad Ford is offering a Track Fob...it will be fun.

All warranties were still valid on the BOSS and 2014 GTs.

It's not a negative thing either, if you've got the discipline to stay focused on . . . your driving and stay within your limits. Not that you'd have to use the track key all the time anyway.

In the 2016 ford motorsport catalog page 39 it states ford will offer a "track key" tune that came with 2012/13 BOSS mustangs. Its a programmed key that disables things like stabilitrac, traction control, changes ECM parameters such as engine braking and timing. Basically it's like having a tune for your car, but only enabled with the "track key".

Stabilitrac??? (pssst . . . your GM slip is showing) :lol:

I'll be getting this for sure. Friend has it on his Boss and it's great, it had no effect on his warranty at all.
