In the 2016 ford motorsport catalog page 39 it states ford will offer a "track key" tune that came with 2012/13 BOSS mustangs. Its a programmed key that disables things like stabilitrac, traction control, changes ECM parameters such as engine braking and timing. Basically it's like having a tune for your car, but only enabled with the "track key".

That sounds like "Track mode" for the Premium GT? What is different?

According to the Ford Performance website, the TracKey for the 2014.5 GT also gives you a lopey idle and 16hp. No mention of the '15/'16 TracKey yet.

It would be much more aggressive than the stock track mode. Engine braking timing etc would be affected.

Hmmm, I thought the lopey idle tunes were rich and were bad for cats?

"disables things like stabilitrac, traction control, changes ECM parameters such as engine braking and timing."
doesn't seem like a positive thing for a DD, id rather shut off the safety features when I want. All of my vehicles have been tuned but I've never asked for that

It is "literally" meant for the track.

Yep I don't think its designed to use in a DD situation just for track or racing.
