Why doesn't this surprise me .... he was only asked earlier this year if he wanted one and got his keys a week before anyone else in the country because of who he is. What a cluster !!! This stuff shits me.

I've had mine on order for 2 years on Monday and won't see my keys until the end of the week.

Agreed. I definitely didn't choose the Ecoboost because I "couldn't afford" a V8, in fact this will be the cheapest car I've purchased in over 10 yrs. The Ecoboost platform is very underrated, the US guys are beating stock V8's with minimal bolt on upgrades and a tune.

And I am Loving IT ..especially the trucks ..................:ford::first:

We all found out more intel on the location and movements of our Mustangs outside Australian than we seem to be able to since they docked :(

Not tomorrow ... just gets delivered to the dealership tomorrow. Pick up day is still the great unknown :frusty:

Ford Australia have a great track record of keeping the (Mustang) customer in the dark. All the information we have been able to get regarding production of our cars in the factory and transport to the port and loading onto ships has been through readily available websites that have nothing to do with Ford Au. In fact Ford Au want to take away the personalization of our cars by bulk ordering and then letting customers know when it is time to pick up their cars, no more following your car along the production line, to the port and on the boat to Australia.
Therefore none of this lack of information as to when our cars will actually be delivered to us the customer, surprises me at all (even though it is frustrating as hell).

Worrying that there are still no reports of deliveries apart from the 3AW guys one... That one seemed very much Ford/3AW PR driven too...

I spoke to my dealer this morning. Despite my car coming into Brisbane yesterday the Ford system is saying 25 December for my delivery date... Clearly the car won't be delivered on that date so they are trying to get an understanding from Ford on whats behind that date and how accurate it is.

My dealers understanding is that Ford is doing an extensive QA process on all cars and this is what is causing the delay between the car arriving in Aus and the car getting to the dealer.

Hopefully someone on here will get a car delivered soon!

Well I got my first piece of Ford Australia marketing SPAM today - with some links to some YouTube videos.

... and to think, I was all excited about an email from Ford.

Still, I guess it's a positive sign? SPAM email better than no email... maybe not. Hmmm

I got an email from my dealer this afternoon saying my car was at Baltimore awaiting shipping.

Estimated arrival date is 16 February 2016 so delivery will be early March I reckon which is pretty much what he told me when I ordered.
