Merry Christmas

Tell me about it!!!! Parsifal arrived in Australia the start of last week now Ford Australia is telling dealers that all units are currently going through an
extensive pre-delivery process to ensure a customer focussed outcome hence more delays not the dealerships vault by the way. What bullshit is that!!! and that they will provide the dealer with firm dates next week. well Im sorry but originally it was the 2nd than 7th than 14th than 21st than 28th of Nov than 2nd of December and that than moved to the 12th of December to arrive at the dealership. So sick of this!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

How does Ford advertise the MUSTANG 2015 for 2 years! I guess it means I get a 2015 built and complied mustang in 2016! :frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty:
You know in a couple of years when I retire I will be able to walk into a ford dealer and buy a GT350 Shelby. With the demand so high I predict that the shelby will come here too. May take a few years. But it will.

I think if I was buying this first batch I would be pleased the quality checks are being done properly. Ford are being smart. The way people whinge on this forum you can imagine the screaming if something is not right. Ford is smart to stop that.

I live near Camden so I may see your new toy driving around. Great christmas present for you. Enjoy it.

Still do not understand why anyone would buy a six though. Call me old fashioned but V8 is the way to go IMHO.

I don't understand, if they are supposedly all at Ford's headquarters - how come cars have been unloaded at both Port Kembla and Brisbane already?

Who will be doing the QC on them?

They are in third party vehicle warehousing. I don't buy the QA bs. I suspect there is an unforeseen compliance issue to remedy.

Only rental car companies.
Or people who really want a Mustang but really can't afford one

.....or people who want a well balanced car with 50kilos less over the front wheels, fuel economy for a daily drive, and don't feel the need to join a pissing competition...

Agreed. I definitely didn't choose the Ecoboost because I "couldn't afford" a V8, in fact this will be the cheapest car I've purchased in over 10 yrs. The Ecoboost platform is very underrated, the US guys are beating stock V8's with minimal bolt on upgrades and a tune.

Haha....good luck to him.

As previously mentioned, I suspect that this delivery is more to do with Ford marketing than anything else.

Has certainly taken up the mantle of head QJ from anyone on this forum, though!

There will always be an official head Aussie M6G QJ - who that eventually becomes remains to be seen.

:)

When I put my deposit down, I had the dealer owner, and sales manager to talk to, they had printed out a sheet of all the pre-orders they had taken already.

I asked them about the possibility of orders being cancelled thinking I might order a certain colour, hoping to move up the list a little between then and now as people pulled out after they had put deposits down due to initial excitement or whatever reason...

Anyway long story short, they actually pointed out to me a couple that had put deposits down and (in their minds were not serious buyers) and would more than likely cancel at some point. It was then that a woman at the computer nearby chimed in and said, if you try and re-allocate a cancelled order, or do the que jumping thing, (i.e make any orders on behalf of others.... make multiple dealer orders to then be transfered to 'preferred' customers or anything like that later on) And ford found out about it they would refuse to work with that dealership for 6 months or something in regards to the mustang.

So ultimately I just ordered what I wanted, had my order entered into the system as usual, and accepted it was going to be a long wait. Happy days!

Will be interesting to see if any of that holds up, in this case.

This scenario probably only really applied to the pre orders before the end of march, so it should still apply here.

I put my deposit down after that (just) but I thought Id share.

He did say _6_, not EcoBoost.
The V6 that isn't sold here only ways a couple of kilos less than the EB and doesn't have the same tuning potential AFAIK.

In the US people buy the 6 because they can't afford the EB, or they're a rental car company.

I accept that maybe he meant the 4 though :)

I lost my title though to some guy who ordered an ecoboost haha. He ordered in may and was on the first boat. No idea how that worked out!

Probably something to do with the fact that only 11% of Australian orders have been for the EB.

Got exactly the same story....it has been found to be total bullshit many times....all part of the amazing mustang ordering system that Ford Oz believe is fair and just.....
