Hi
I have joined the Forum today via looking at posts of the Mustang 2015 Facebook page that I am a member of. I received an email from Ford at the end of last week confirming that my Mustang has now been completed.
Just wondering what other Forum Members are consider for Paint, Rust and Interior Treatment Protections.

Welcome to the forum Greg. :)

You mean that the Ming Moll hasn't sunk her high heels into you yet?

They tried it on over the phone with me a few weeks back - big breasts don't have much of an effect when you can't see them.

For the paint, I'm going with a clear bra of some sort - undecided as yet whether to wrap the whole car and be done with it or not, but that would cost upwards of three grand. Will more than likely go with a partial wrap (front end, mirrors, partial bonnet, partial roof & hips) along with Opticoat or similar.

No idea what to do about the leather yet.

I think the cost of the leather on our cars would be a little less than the protection cost

Honestly, I have never taken up a Dealership on any of these protections packages - you could find your own providers and no doubt save a small fortune

I'm going to have the Tint and Opti-Coat PRO+ done but not with the stealer.
Solar Style in Brisbane quoted me $1050. Anyone else got a quote elsewhere?
I'll do the interior protection myself.

For tinting and opti coat that sounds decent. I received a quote of $1000 just for opticoat.

I'll be going with Ceramic Pro. Should be around $700 plus extra if I get the wheels done.

I have Opticoat on my R-Spec and very happy with it but I promised a friend to go Ceramic Pro this time.

Yeah I normally don't go with paint protection but figure its probably a good idea on a black daily driver. I've done a bit of research and will likely go the opti coat pro paint protection

Drew, read the details on their website you posted.....optic oat seems a good idea and I presume you still need to polish?. Also did they indicate tinting costs or an overall package price. Peter

Still waiting for an email response, Peter. Will advise.

There are individual basic costs listed on the website, but I've asked for a ballpark figure for Opti-Coat, stone protection and tint. May even end up going for Opti-Guard (interior) as well.

I have made preliminary enquiries here:

http://www.reflecteffect.com.au/services.php?serv=new_car_protect

Based in Parramatta and comes highly recommended.

Also has the added advantage of being able to do all treatments at the same time, including tint.
Hi Drew,

Reflect Effect did my R-Spec; he did a great job on a Saturday morning and his wife helped him. Dave comes highly recommended and a couple of other guys on Australian Ford Forums have also had their FPV's done by him.

I'll explain why I'm going Ceramic Pro in another post.

When I was considering paint correction and treatment (in 2012) my son organised a quote for Opticoat from Reflect Effect as part of a VW Golf Forum group buy. He organised a quote for my R-Spec at the same time.

I had decided to go with Reflect Effect when Ceramic Pro done by Driven Colour was also recommended to me. I got a quote from them, a bit cheaper than Opticoat, but decided to stick with Opticoat.

I spoke to Langdon at Driven Colour and he understood my reasons. At the same time he gave Dave of Reflect Effect a really good rap which I thought was very professional.

Bit of a wordy response but that's why I'm going Ceramic Pro. To be honest I don't think there is much difference between the 2 systems.
