Some people like them, some people don't. Personally I wanted to get a plate that was related to the car but not something that would only mean something to me in the event that I decided to sell it. The good thing about personalised plates is that they don't depreciate in value.Re private plates - is it just me or does it defeat the purpose if only you know what it means?
The number of 'nearly means something but has an extra letter or number breaking up the word so doesn't actually quite spell what I wanted it to spell but lets pretend that it does' plates that people are buying just seems a bit daft to me.
I could say that the 'UXP' that seems to be coming on my ecoboost means UnExplodedPony - something that I have always wanted for years ever since I was young :-)
No harm to the people that are spending money doing this - it's their money to spend as they see fit but I just find it strange and would rather put the money in the petrol tank :-)
Neither is it to drive the car's we have over 100MPH but we all still do itNot strictly legal to have it spaced like that ;)

True that... I have a feeling driving my mustang, with a re-spaced reg is going to cause a whole lot of drama with the police, albeit i live in the middle of nowhere, so come at me :lol:Only when there is no one around to see![]()
Its not this that bothers me, its the possibility of the insurance company weaseling out in case of an accident that I find scary.True that... Are those plastic plates?
Very nice. Good work on the plate too! And hood grills...? ;)Collected today ...
They are aluminium - much thinner (and I think lighter than acrylic). Easy to just bend in middle for a perfect fit. You could use low profile double sided stickers for an almost flush fit. For the time being, I used 3M VHB dual lock, to give options of taking off if I didn't like it. Used a gloss black holder on the back, but might swap for alu back as well. Are those plastic plates?
