Black car starter machine polisher?

I'm very very quickly starting to realize that trying to keep my new black paint swirl free with my hands is not made for my skinny arms lol. So I understand the best thing we can get our hands on is a good polisher machine. The problem is that I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for one either. I just want to get one that will do the job and something I can build some good experience with also. So what would you guys recommend for a noob. If you could also recommend some specific pads would be nice too along with some chem that won't burn my paint down.

Ah man.. You just brought back some good old memory. I remember the harbor freight polisher when I was over at c5 forum years ago and was looking into getting one. I think it was for even cheaper at that time I believe with a code. I heard for the price you really can't beat it. Thank you.

I've owned the PC for years & it's a fine machine, but if I had it to do over I'd spend the extra $50 and get the Torq 10fx. MUCH better ergonomics than the Griots or the PC. Any of them will last a lifetime if cared for, so don't skimp !

Depends on what your goal is. I used a microfiber cutting pad followed by a finishing pad, for a 2 step paint correction to address lots of swirl marks and water spots.

I want to use to get rid of slight scratches and swirls that my 1000miles old black paint came with. If it was white or silver car I'm sure it would have looked flawless but its showing even the hair line on the shadow black. I thought I could deal with it but my ocd is starting to come back.

If you go with that set up give Griot's pads and polishes a shot. Used them on mine the other day was very pleased the end result. I have thread on this here.
