is the exhaust side the culprit or the intake? and how much did the porting improve the results?
Both sides, exhaust side is worse. Intake is divided as well. There are 8 ports on the intake side, it sucks.

Ported increased flow by 30% if I remember correctly, made a big difference for sure!

Nope, they just need to be properly tuned and in the hands of people that race not do pulls on the highway every now and again. I could easily get an upgraded stock block EBM in the 10's if a customer is willing.

Yea, hope David will upgrade his tires soon as cut some 1.5's.

Thanks Mark! Drop me an email to remind me to get a tune file over to you, I'm so slammed!

Thank you!

I already have run a 6466 on an EBM with built block, made 640whp/585wtq but it doesn't shift (MT). Hopefully that company gets their setup in an AT car.
Lol, I quoted "real drag racer" because he utilized that term a few times in his silly rant. Seriously though, who goes to the track on street tires in anything modified? Tool of the day award most definitely goes to that guy.

A bunch of us went out to the track with our EBMs... One of the guys with DRs got his best times on street tires.

Also, DRs are not cheap... Specially if you only go once or twice a year. Granted, you can easily blow away your street tires if you launch too hard lol, as it happened to me on one of my passes. Nice burnout though :D

Yeah, no idea why... DRs should've blown his street tire times away. Anyway, it was my first time ever @ the track, I'm addicted. Everyone should do it at least once.

PS: I can't believe what Adam is doing on the stock turbo car, crazy.

I don't want to change the topic of this thread, but i feel like this question is related and i created a thread but no one has responded.

so if ford can detect a tune, an ECU cost around $700. So why not just buy an ECU and tune and swap it with the stock ECU, and everytime you go in to the dealership you put the stock ECU back in the car.

Can someone shed some light

Each ECU records every time you crank the ignition if I'm not mistaken. They'd see only a handful of starts with X amount of mileage and start asking questions.

you are right it counts the number of times your cranked the engine, but if you have your stock and never flashed it or reset it, that means when you put it back in it will have all the info before you swapped the ECU

I'm also sure they would be able to tell that the ID on the ECU is not the one that originally came with the car

I think the idea would be to leave factory one stock and tune the additional purchased one. The Genesis Coupe guys have to do this I think.

I would like to get Adam's opinion on it and what are the complications we might encounter if we do it

it has an engine!
Youll have to take off most of the other mods. Car isnt going to run well with a dp. Itd work for a tune only car but youll be putting the car back to stock every other time. It wouldnt be worth if for a tune only car. Either man up and flash the car and dont look back or dont mod it.
