100% E85 tuning.

2015 Ecoboost Mustang AT
-Full Bolt Ons (Stock Turbo)
-CP-E Fuel-Bar Port Injection Rail Kit
-Special Sauce controller (fuel controller)
-Patience

For the people that don't know what they are looking at, on the graph below it shows how smooth the timing, fueling, and how much boost we are able to run. E85 CAN NOT BE RAN ON STOCK FUEL SYSTEM. The reason is that it requires more fuel that the stock system can't handle. If you didn't have the additional fueling kit as mentioned above (CP-E), you car would go lean and the Actual AFR on the graph plot below would be climbing up towards lean (higher the number the leaner the car is) and it would eventually grenade itself.

As you can see on the graph fueling is dead on, flat, and exactly where I want it. More boost up top coming, along with some more timing. Currently at 11° peak timing, should be able to hit around 15°.

As always, Adam's patience and diligence have made this possible.

I can't wait to get the wick turned up and let this thing loose on the track in 9 days.

Then it's on to moar turbo.

I intend to do a full write up with do's/don'ts as well as some street and strip results!

Any estimates as to how much power is being made on straight e85?

This is only for testing purposes, I can max the stock turbo out at 385whp with E30 during the summer. This is only going to make about the same amount, customer is going big turbo, that is the plan.

Understood. But safe to say that this is a better option to make the 385 and not worry about improper mixture, and going lean correct? As well as being safer in the winter months as well.

I personally think E85 is an awesome bang for your buck fuel. The primary reason I wanted to go with it is because of simplicity (no mixing, great octane, built in latent cooling), however there is still some level of variation within the E85 fuel.

I am tuning on the best E85 that can be had locally. It is blended right at the pump with race gas E100. Should I use an inferior blend of E70 I should run a bit rich as there is a bit more gasoline in the mix...but I stocked up on the good stuff and it's a fun drive to that side of town for more so no big deal.

If you are wanting that 385 on the stock turbo I think you should go methanol injection. Adam has a direct bolt-in kit. You can run your pump gas tune and tool around and when you want to play just flip a switch, map switch on the fly and get after it.

If I were staying stock turbo, or even a Vargas stage 1/2 I would do meth. I, however, am just waiting on my 5558 to ship and then it's shooting for the limit that Adam feels is safe with my setup and fuel.

For me it's more of finding the safest way to get the most out of the stock turbo. I will not use e30 period, I'm not a chemist, and do not have the time to sit and always figure out what the right blend is etc. I have looked into the meth injection though. I am also exploring doing a simple ms109 tune (no meth injection) as well. While I have been around the game a while this is the first turbo car I have ever owned. I normally dealt with n/a for most of the time. So I'm learning quite a bit by talking with you and others about how things can work and maximizing the car. Mine has exceeded my expectations in every way. I went toe to toe last night with a 2014 automatic ss camaro from a 60 roll. Never thought i was in that realm. And I only have a cat-back and stage 1 ots cobb tune. I cannot wait to get the Level's intercooler on mine and turn the wick up.
