For those of us with Mustangs on the PARSIFAL .. best you check your dealerships revised VISTA ETA today. Mine just went from December 5 to December 19. WTF ????? :paddle:

Rang Ford Au for a please explain (13 36 73). They maintain they have no view on stock control and that I should ring the dealership. The dealership has no idea why the ETA's have moved out 14 days for Perth. And around and around we go.

17 days to ship to Perth ????? I don't think so !!!!

Just when I could see light at the end of the tunnel ... Ford built more tunnel :frusty:

This is getting beyond a joke now.
So ..... the response from Ford Au via a facebook pm to my question on why the VISTA ETA has changed from Dec 5 to 19 when the PARSIFAL ETA into Melbourne has been the same since my Mustang was booked onto the PARSIFAL October 10.

"Hi Greg, that’s a valid question. There's no further delays to your Mustang, the change in the ETA is to better align it with when we expect it to be ready for collection from your Dealership in Perth. The date of the 5th was an old ETA that anticipated your vehicle leaving the US earlier.

The ETA in VISTA is only a guide based on a formula. VISTA does make adjustments from time to time as it fine-tunes dates. As VISTA is an internal system, any information from VISTA that is given to a customer by a Dealership should have this explained.

On average it does take up to 10 business days to get a vehicle from Melbourne to Perth. This factors in the time to get the vehicle off the wharf onto a truck from Melbourne to Adelaide and then a train from Adelaide to Perth. The process for delivery takes into consideration clearance from the wharf, a vehicle inspection and the means of both truck and rail to transport the vehicles from Melbourne across the country.

Once the vehicle arrives at the Dealership, the vehicle will be need to undergo a pre-delivery review which includes washing the vehicle and preparing it for customer pick up. In the case of our Mustangs, Ford is endeavouring to fast track all processes once vehicles arrive to ensure vehicles get to customers quickly. I hope this provides clarification and a better understanding of how we are working hard to get Mustang to our customers. Cheers, ^JS"

Hi bud

I haven't heard anything from the dealer. But Ford AU called me about three weeks ago. They told me my car will be built about 23 Nov and delivery is around late Feb.

They said they would email me every time they have some updates on my car. But no emails so far.

Good luck to all!!

This is what I get from my dealer when I ask for information ? Quote -
Unfortunately I have no updates for you at the moment. Ford has stopped updating our normal tracking system due to some delays and they have set up a call centre to start calling customers.
They have asked all dealerships not to contact their customers for now while they call through to all the customers to advise if the delays are going to affect their vehicle.
I have had some customers move back 2-3 months and some have moved forward 1-2 months. It doesn't seem to make sense to me at this stage and I am in the dark with it .
If you hear from the ford call centre please let me know what they said and if l get any updates I'll let you know. End quote

I have not had a phone call as yet and probably won't anytime soon considering my order date but when the poor sales person is treated like that we all have no hope !!

Waiting on triple yellow gt manual
Ordered on 22/3/15

Sounds like they're managing _US_ - (well, you) the forum.

Between tidbits from the different dealers, FaceBook Ford Australia questions, Ford Service in the US and the shipping sites, we're actually finding out what's happening.

They've advised the dealers to give us nothing... next step will probably be to restrict information on FordAus FB page, then Ford US.

After all, people like me wouldn't even know there were delays except for all the stuff in the forum - my estimated date has come forwards slightly :)

All this is going to do is cost them future sales.

How many people here would have positive words to say about how this whole fiasco has panned out?

I've bought multiple new Ford vehicles and have been very satisfied with them and especially my dealer, but honestly with all of this business lately my opinion of the brand itself is waning.

Well i had an update from ford au fb team which basically insulted my intelligence. No change to my tentative January build (screw you ford au) and a suggestion that due to the huge demand and large number of options it's quite complex of a production line ford au has not been able to build cars even remotely as there were ordered. i have effectively given up bothering to ask for any Info as it makes me angrier and angrier that ford au are so pathetic as to use rubbish excuses for poor management.

Christ, just apologise to customers and take some responsibility for screwing people who pre ordered and are basically getting cars four months after people who ordered later.

I for one will not be buying another ford product again and will take great pains to dissuade family and friends from making the same mistake I did in trusting ford au had any idea at all how to manage a product. It really isn't that hard to build cars as ordered... Line them up in the build queue and away you go. I can forgive maybe a few weeks due to interstate orders and having to manage an Australia wide portal but fuck me..... 3-4 months later is just bad business and shows real immaturity in the product team and logistics

Rant over :) back to regular programming

Wow, must be hard to build a RHD Mustang with 2 engine options, 2 wheel options (GT only), optional stripes and the choice of a hard top or convertible?

Imagine the delay in getting our cars if we had all the options the US have.

That statement from Ford AU shows they have no idea about our Mustangs.

I did chuckle at this part in the note. ohwell.. Jan build it is. Although I am fully expecting to get some bullshit call in early jan saying oh sorry it's now feb.. But don't worry it should be here before the cars ordered in July make it to Australia :)

Good to see the time between production and export is down to less than a month in some cases.

Hopefully they can keep it up.
