So I'm about to hook up a charger/maintainer so that my battery doesn't die while my tune is uploading but I'm not sure what type of battery our car uses. I have the options for "standard", "agm" and "gel cell"

What tuner are you using? I have never hooked up a battery tender to flash my car? Never had any problems either.

I'm pretty sure it's a standard lead acid battery.

Unless you have replaced the oem battery, it is standard.

Thanks, I ended up putting it on "standard" and it worked perfectly. stang77 I used the SCT X4 I heard of people having issues with their PCM and tube due to the battery getting low during the flashing process so I didn't want to take that chance.

Where did you hear that?

If you have too, something is very wrong.

No issues here, but I took her for a drive beforehand so the battery was fully charged.

Yes you should absolutely use a battery tender when flashing in a tune.
