What do you have to do to check etis?

R5LH*O 129089 is the only info that looks anything like a tracking number that I've got from my dealer.

You need your 17 digit vin number to get etis and window sticker (after build) info

Vin starts with:
1FA = Ford Motor Co
6 = seat belts and front/side airbags (coupe) or
T = seat belts front/knee airbags (convertible)
P8C = Coupe GT
P8F = Convertible GT
P8T = Coupe Ecoboost
P8U = Convertible Ecoboost

The first one with 4 digits is the NSC (your order number) and the 6 digit is the SIDO number, Ford's stock number essentially.

Need to ask your dealer to look up the details in VISTA for vin, some sales crew say they don't have it as system has different info levels so may need dealer principal, sales mgr or stock controller to get the info rather than your sales person.

Just check ETIS, it says the build date is 28/10/2015. Also a long list of features. Does that mean it already started to build?

Still no phone call, but I did just get a reply from "Facebook Ford" with my VIN. Now off to find out what I can. Found the Etis site it shows build date of 14.10.2015 so I guess there is really is a car somewhere in the US with my name on it. Found the window sticker for it. The " may not apply to export models" disclaimer makes it all a bit of a novelty as it doesn't really mean squat as far as to what I am really getting, but it is something else to hang on the wall while I wait. I was told last week my car was at Baltimore, but if it shows a built date of 14.10.2015 is that likely? Don't think there is any chance it left on the Parsifal.....

I am about to PM Deysha with my VIN to see what she can tell me, I have assumed that Deysha is a she, someone correct me if I am wrong.

What else can I find online with my VIN?
I read some people mentioning that their cars are booked on certain vessels and others know the car is in transit between the factory and Balitimore, but no idea how they are finding out these things, if someone who has found out all these things would care to share how it is done it would be highly appreciated.

With your vin you can go to www.2wglobal.com and use their track and trace feature. Enter your vin as cargoid and it can tell if loaded and on which ship

After that you can also track the ship to Melbourne with www.vesselfinder.com
