Just out of curiosity, is the spoiler mounting points on the decklid of the 'R' model the same as the mounting points as the Track pack decklid?

I personally think the Track pack spoiler looks a tick better than the 'R', it would be cool if they were interchangeable. :)

I don't think they are. The R has two mounting holes while the track pack most likely has four if it's like other recent Mustangs. I'm in CA and would be happy to swap with you if you have an R on order.

Yeah, the non-R spoilers definitely have holes in the middle of the trunk area.

I think the Carbon Dynamics spoiler includes some plastic or rubber plugs that you can use in lieu of actually doing body work to fill the holes?

Here's what the holes look like from their site.

Maybe even 3 holes?

No major disrespect, but when I see a question like this I immediately think of NASCAR. I never understand why people want to alter a functional technology and dumb it down or just cause it "may look a tick better".

I thought only NASCAR dumbed down science and technology. This question is akin to asking Superman to wear yellow contacts so his laser eye beams would be orange cause it may look better.:frusty:

How does NASCAR "dumb down" technology? Those cars make 900+ horsepower out of a naturally-aspirated small block, running fuel injection - and then they run those motors for 500 miles at full song

Any engine running full tilt at high rpm under heavy load for 2+ hours is nuts.

Really? If you have to ask that question then you don't get it...

NASCAR doesn't make the engines... NASCAR regulates them. By all means, the racing teams put phenomenal technology into those cars but due to the long arm of the NASCAR law, they cannot truly showcase their potential... And hence, the dumbing down of technology.

Unfortunately, just about all racing series are like this now. Even F1 has lost practically all of the innovation and engineering display that made it great to now being a spec racing series.

the rotors alone might be OK, but you would need a relocation bracket to push the caliper out.

Also might be different hub spacing since the GT350 is wider up front

Yeah it's not going to work. Who cares though. There are plenty of excellent brake packages and options for base S550 cars. Pads are the biggest factor. One word: Carbotech.
