2016 CO GT Prem w/PP
Ordered a Guard GT Premium, Manual, 3.55, Saddle, 19" wheels, spoiler delete on 6/15/2015. Arrived at my dealer on 9/24/15, but with a spoiler. So, back to the drawing board to reorder correctly. Replacement car just got to the dealer today, 10/16, but curiously, I seem to have lost the eager anticipation. Not in a rush anymore, so will probably see about getting it around the middle of next week.

Maybe worth waiting to see what the 2017 holds?

Congrats to all that have ordered and received their cars. The car I had ordered came in Thursday with two paint chips showing metal a over the gas door.

Dealer used a paint pen (wrong color) to fill ithe in. So when asked about reordering the sales person was indifferent towards my wife and said it's a limited production run on convertibles. If this is what Ford stands for its scary. It's a real shame when you have a customer right there willin to purchase the product your selling.

Asked the dealer to have the areas air brushed and was told thats on your dime buddy. Pretty much at wits end I have never really had this happen when purchasing a car.

That's your dealer, not Ford. Are you in it for any cash? If not I'd walk away. The power and willingness to walk away is a superpower.

While in principle I can understand what you are saying at the end of the day the dealer is an extension of Ford . No matter how you slice it this is the only interface many of us have with Ford so in my eyes it is Ford.

That's your dealer, not Ford. Are you in it for any cash? If not I'd walk away. The power and willingness to walk away is a superpower.
They are counting on you to cave in & accept their crap - hard to walk away when your new car is sitting there in front of you. They are being unscrupulous as they know it full well & are rolling the dice.

Choices are walk or get it airbrushed on your own nickle. At this point, even if they give in who knows if the repair will be of any quality.

Also keep in mind, if this is their customer service attitude BEFORE they have your $$ in hand, imagine what it will be like after and you have no bargaining leg to stand on !!

I've walked on a car deal before (they even had transfered my plates to the new car) due to issues, made them bring the old car back to the front & loaded my stuff back in. No many are willing to take it that far tho :D

I will have no issue with walking away. My wife was at the dealer today and the treated her like crap. I understand the point made that it's not Ford itself. They sell Fords so to me it is Ford. I have contacted Ford service as requested and would like to talk to a regional representing in coming to a resolution and ordering another car.

New to ordering Mustang, help with tracking please

I ordered a 2016 Gt Prem (PP, 401A, prem trim), Magnetic, about 5 weeks ago from Pierre Ford in Lake City WA.

I am assured the order is placed, yet the salesman continues to tell me there is no info he can give me about the order. Could this be true, that there is no info a customer can be given? An order number, or some other internal Ford number that can be used to identify the order.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new set of wheels!

Have you received a priced DORA (Dealer Oder Receipt Acknowledgement)? That is usually sent to the dealer a day or two after the order is placed. It is an acknowledgement from Ford stating that they've received the order and lists all options ordered. If you haven't received a copy, ask for one. "No info" is a lie if the order really was placed 5 weeks ago. SaleZman is either: A) totally ignorant, B) lazy, or C) just being an @sshole. The dealer has direct access to Ford's computer system. That is how they place the orders.... duh! I watched my order being entered into the system on a Friday morning, and received my priced DORA from the dealer via e-mail the following Monday afternoon. This is the same system that Deysha uses to answer inquiries from this thread or Private Messages sent to her.

Send a PM to Deysha and include: Customer name, dealer name, order date and order number from the DORA (if you have it). She'll get back to you. Won't be until after the first of the week though... she won't be back in until Monday morning. She deserves the weekends off after all us kiddies crying we want our Christmas presents all week. :D

Re-ordered today due to the car being damaged when delivered.
Sorry to hear about the FUBAR in transit. Hopefully the dealer will be able to reorder with a code lower than 10. That would have to go through the zone rep or regional rep. I'd press them for that because of the damage. Normally a 10 is the highest priority on a normal order. Wait has gotta be killin' you. Hang in there!

Yer welcome. I think you did the right thing not accepting the car either the way it is or with a touch-up. Seems like that color would be hard to blend. As in if the sun hits it a certain way, the panel looks a different shade because it reflects light differently. I just hope they will bump it up for you through the dealer. Damaged in shipment can usually get it bumped in the scheduling, providing the dealer raises the issue. Good luck, and man you're gonna need MORE patience!
