Thanks! Build date was October 12. My dealer had previously told me I'd have to wait at least 2 months, which was fine with me. So many people have had to wait so much longer, 2 months seemed very reasonable. Crap...here comes the "early delivery guilt"...

WOO HOO! Just got the call; my car was delivered to the dealership today!!! Incredibly, it was only ordered 27 days ago! I guess it flew through the system so fast it was untrackable; I haven't heard a peep from anyone regarding its status until now. Naturally, I am out of town until Sunday...

Cotus unfortunately doesn't work for 2016s.

How are you tracking your order since we can't use COTUS for 2016s? I ordered on Monday and I was hoping to see it in COTUS - I know it will be months before it arrives but I was hoping to track it along the way.

You have to get tracking wither from your dealer, the Ford Customer Service 1800 392-FORD number, or through the Ford Service reps on the forums. Deysha has been a great resource and can help you out.

One thing that I've learned is that your dealer and customer service have the exact same information. HOWEVER, there is also the shipping department. Your dealer does not have access to this and customer service doesn't easily have access to it either. Customer Service has to literally send a message to the shipping dept. to get updates. These shipping updates are not available and up to date on the tracking system Ford calls "Vehicle Visibility".

Here's an example. The dealer and Customer Service (Deysha) both told me that my car was released and had an ETA of 10/14. However, this was not the case. When my dealer called the VOPC (Vehicle Order Processing Center), the representative on the phone at VOPC contacted the shipping dept. who told us that there was a hold on the car. They said my car was listed as "not OK to buy" (Presumably because of the seatbelt issue.) None of this info was listed on the "Vehicle Visibility" tracking system. Also, the tracking "Vehicle Visibility" is not real time. At the end of the day on 10/14 my car was still "In Transit" However on 10/15 the "Vehicle Visibility" system said that on 10/13 my car went back into "Production". -So it looks like it take a day or two to update.

According to Deysha my car was re-released and is awaiting shipment. I hope to see if there are any updates today.

It was released and put out to await shipment yesterday, PonyGrrrl. ETA is now 11/2/15.

Thanks Deysha! I went to talk to my Dealer yesterday and they went above and beyond the call of duty. They are going to give me a loaner car to use until my mustang arrives. (I have been without a car for over a month). Fantastic customer service at Pundmann Ford.
Any chance there is an ETA? Or does it still say "TBD"?

Well the car is finally at the dealer. Wife took the day off to take a look at the car. All looked really good until we looked at the left rear quarter panel. Two rock chips down to the metal at the 11 and 1 o'clock position when looking straight at the wheel. Below is a picture of one of the better chips. ...

Ordered a Guard GT Premium, Manual, 3.55, Saddle, 19" wheels, spoiler delete on 6/15/2015. Arrived at my dealer on 9/24/15, but with a spoiler. So, back to the drawing board to reorder correctly. Replacement car just got to the dealer today, 10/16, but curiously, I seem to have lost the eager anticipation. Not in a rush anymore, so will probably see about getting it around the middle of next week.

Wow! I could have used some of what ever you're taking last month. ;) You ARE certain that this one doesn't have the spoiler? Save one item, I'm completely satisfied with mine. Hint: there's an MGW shifter in my future. Good luck this time picking it up!
