Will i get better gas mileage with a lower octane gas like 87 or 83? With 93 octane my tank maxes out at around 220 miles for a full tank. Thanks
don't use crap gas...you are running a turbo car, please use 93. The car likes it better, and honestly its really not that much more expensive.

Australia has 91 as "regular" fuel - does anyone know if the V8 will run ok on that? We can go up to 95 or 98 but you pay more. My Lexus seems to run ok on 91 but it definitely feels better on 95 or 98.

Over the last 3600 miles, my computer shows 28.2 mpg. I'd say I drive 35% city and 65% highway, and 90% of all my driving in Dallas rush hour traffic. 87 octane with a 420 mile range after fill-up.

I'm on my first tank from the dealer presumably 87 octane.. got the car 3 days ago and I'm down to 1/4 of a tank getting right around 14mpg average on a base auto w/ 3.15's

I think I may be driving a little bit too aggressively, going by some of the figures being posted here.

Most definitely.. waiting till I run out this tank to fill her up with pure premium.

I'm curious if that MAP race gas additive will have a noticeable effect without a tune.. seems like it's at least worth a try.

Yeah, it's an old thread...
Drove from LA to SLC the other day. 700 miles going up and down hills (sea level to 4000 feet). Only using 91 oct.
LA to Vegas I got 32.6 at 70mph. Got 32 mpg to Saint George where I put on 4 gallons (cheap gas). Reset the mpg readout in SG and got 31.1 into SLC (and still had 2 days worth of driving in the tank). More up hill and 75mph. Speed limit was 80. Was seeing 459 miles to empty. Love this machine :)

32 mpg is decent, but try adding some Chevron fuel system treatment at your next fill-up and you might get the following:

No, you must be driving alot of city/hard.
I use my ecoboost to commute, mostly hwy (3.55 gears), i run 93 octane and get routinely close to 400 miles per tank when i fill up.
i hand calculate my mpg (miles driven/gals of gas to fill up) and consistently average 27+

i ran a couple of tanks at 89 and saw about 1 mpg worse than the 93.

I thought the same, mine is 400 per tank also with the same type driving.
