There is definitely a difference between 87 and 93 with how she runs.

I second this. The tank before the one I am on now I decided to do a little experiment and filled up with 87. At first I didn't really seem to notice a difference. The car still seemed to pull pretty strong. But, then when I went back to 93 I was amazed at how much of a difference there was. Now it's 93 from here on out.
