What's the point of the hood vent turn signal? The driver CANNOT see the passenger side turn signal because the roof design blocks the view. Anyone else think this is a bit odd?

I tend to agree it's odd but if you're in a truck or SUV perhaps it gives us low slung sports cars a bit more visibility when changing lanes or turning? Idk.. Just an idea lol

I care about infotainment
It's just a neat little gimmick like the pony projector lights, illuminated door sills, ambient lighting, etc...I like little touches like that. There's no point, just neat.

+1 and i think it's a tribute to the earlier stangs that had them.

I think they are neat too but I just found it very odd that I could not see the passenger side turn signal. I guess I wasn't expecting it to be blocked from view.

Passenger can see it, and he/she might think its "neat". It is neat because it is.

It is neat, even though you obviously can't see them both from any seat in the house.

Ecoboosted is right. These were a popular option on the 1967/1968 Mustangs with the deluxe hood. I think they are pretty cool, but useless none the less (I don't even notice it when I'm driving)

"It's just a neat little gimmick like the pony projector lights"

They are actually puddle lights, I've seen quite a few cars with them (especially luxury cars). Sure, ours are shaped like a pony but their purpose is to illuminate anything you might accidentally step in before getting in the car.

1.) Warranty. Use it.
2.) If previous is not an option, check for voltage at the connector. If good, check light bulb. If none, replace assembly with vents.

:)

OP, it was incorporated for nostalgia.

A cool feature to add to list of already cool features. FYI the 69-70 mach 1 hood scoops also had turn signal lights.
