I mean, what were you expecting? It's going to out perform the GT is almost every measurable performance category.
My point was its not enough to be excited about. The only people impressed and excited about it are mostly people that care about not modding the car much and warranty thumpers. Its direct injection and lack of room in the engine bay and the challenges it will bring, coupled with the trickle down problems the vette is having that it will most likely have too will not out weigh it being marginal speed difference.

What would be enough to be excited about? It's going to easily (not a drivers race beat the GT). And the overwhelming majority of people do not miss their car. You keep bad mouthing DI, but Ford is going there with their Coyote eventually.

You have no proof that it will live up to their claimed time. Wait before you shove claims around that haven't been proved yet. Speaking in unproven asbolutes is a fools errand. 2 tenths isnt anything more then a drivers race. You really shouldnt be arguing quarter mile with someone with vast more experience then youll ever have yourself. Youre out of your league with that topic, in fact its not even the same sport we're playing. If ford uses di in any car i like i will not be buying. Until di is perfected it is garbage.

Im sure they have but lots of fanboys try and tote Ford for being so honest yet GM cant be trusted. From what I know, Ford has more dirt than GM when it comes to decieving about their products.
C7Z06 is all I am going to say.

Not a fanboi of any brand but that car (I wanted to buy one BTW) is a let down.

I didn't say anything about quarter mile time. Don't get your pants in a wad there junior, everyone knows that you are the almighty figure of the quarter mile. All hail our king. Get a grip haha. I wasn't calling you out in any shape or form. I was just asking what would have impressed you?

You said its not going to be a drivers race basically in any fashion which simply isnt true. I dont need your mockery. I have over 25+ yrs of drag racing experience. Experience of competing for large sums of money. Over 10, 000 passes easily at just the strip alone. I am an authority on the topic of drag and street racing. Anyone here is a jr its you. I have the firm grip on what will be the reality of the race between them. You do not. Youve displayed quite well you dont care what impresses me and my experience. You chose to mock it.

Gm being trusted ford didnt have millions of dollars for a bailout, they should be paying the taxpayers back, but thats another subject.Lets not get into GM (goverment motors).Talk about dirt.

Not a drivers race lol.Lets say those numbers are correct, thats about a half second difference, ive made more then that up in tons of races, let that camaro blow its tires off on the jump and tell me it wont be a drivers race, now were talking quater mile racing, not blow the horn three times and go.

Chevy may have the advantage for 2016? But it'll be short lived. Ford will have no problem matching Chevy numbers with a little more tuning and direct injection on the coyote. And in the handling depart. The trickle down from the GT350 will benefit the GT in the same manner that the ZL1 parts found its way onto the 1LE Camaro.

If they do DI I wouldn't think it would be a Coyote anymore. That is an entire architecture change.

I used the wrong wording. My fault. If the drivers are even remotely close to equal, stock for stock, the SS is going to beat the GT every time. Again, I did not say you weren't an amazing drag racer lol. You just immediately jumped to defend yourself. Like a 17 year old haha. It was just funny.

Again. I am not saying I'm a better drag racer than you. No one is.......
All I am saying is that if the drivers are close to equal, it's the SS all day. Oh trust me. I know I am utterly outclassed.......

Edit? Are you saying that with close to equal drives, that you wouldn't put your money on the SS?

The interview Dave Pericak conducted with Autoline was from April 2010, FFS. The final targets for S550 probably hadn't even been determined at that point in development, yet. In 2010, I bet Ford was still intending on using a modified S197 platform for the 2015 car.

An iota of your own research is always wise instead of putting blind faith into media outlets. This is what constitutes "journalism" nowadays, going as far as calling Dave Pericak a liar. It really is digraceful, in my opinion.
