Imagine how they used to drive the 73 Porsche 917/30 Can-Am car! 1100HP with no electronics and lots of turbo lag!
Ghost cam/Lopey cam does not jive with flat plane engine. I really don't think you understand the character of this engine. Once you fire it up in the loud exhaust mode, you'll see what I mean. This is a road racing, high-revving beast. Old muscle sound it is not.well thats enough proof for me. i was on the fence and now i'm completely sure that im not going to SC it. I will be putting a cai on it though with a tune. i'm upset bc i just looked at Lund Racing and their ghost cam tune requires an o/r exhaust which would be too loud with the GT350 so i guess i will have to do without it since i want to live in a nice neighborhood and don't want to wake the dead and my neighbors every time i crank it up. Im sure some ppl will SC theirs and make stupid amounts of power though. Thanks for all of the input guys.
I'm sure there are gains to be had with a tune. FYI - you do need something that acts as a soft coupling or de-coupler between the air box and the engine. The engine rolls, afterall...i realize that it comes with a cai but you can at least replace the accordion looking intake tube with a better flowing piece and get some gains with a tune and maybe a slightly bigger maf housing and washable better flowing filter. i saw a video where ford had a better flowing piece on there for development. They probably cut it for costs.
The 4.6 and 5.4 both came in 2V, 3V, and 4V. The 6.8 V10 online came in 2V and 3V.Considering that the 4.6L is a 3v and the Voodoo is a 4v, you might want to rethink you logic there about the heads. And since the crank assembly is a far fetch from even the Coyote, the chances of rods finding their way into a 4.6 or even a Coyote are few and far between. Besides, there's quality proven aftermarket offerings for 4.6L and Coyote upgrades for bottom ends, heads, and valvetrain. Why would you want to frankenstein an engine together when there's already proven systems that will work without guessing? One of the most fundamental issues with the 4.6L just for starters: the Voodoo is a TIVCT engine. The 4.6L is not. Uses the old VCT system.
But were there any tangible gains? Adding power is simple math. Tits aren't.I met a PERFECT young lady about 20 years ago. She was maybe 110#'s natural blonde, fit body, perfectly proportionate attributes.... Think 20 year old Jessica Alba. Somewhere in our first conversation, I asked, "So when one is born with PERFECT astetics, does it free you up to address other things?" She immediately told me that she was planning on getting ridiculously giant breasts.
I ran into her a year or so later. Proudly pushing up out of her shirt were two of the biggest most fake looking boobs I've ever seen... Nearly basketball size. Impressive??? Sure! Better??? Absolutely NOT! Ruined what was a Perfect look.
Putting a blower on this car reminds me of that.
EDIT: I am absolutely a Boob guy and an HP Guy, but sometimes more is not necessarily better.
Tangible means something you can touch. By defintion Breasts Augmentation are definately gains you can touch. But were there any tangible gains? Adding power is simple math. Tits aren't.
