Guys, this will be my first Mustang and in this forum, I have noticed people mention quality issues.

When I get my car, do I have to pay close attention (and to what?)? What all do I need to look for? Is this something I can rely on the dealer?

@XDsm -- how did you notice the missing part? Was it you or the dealer?

We both looked over the car when I first got there. It had just got off the truck and neither of us noticed it. It wasn't until after the paperwork and the car being washed that I noticed it on the final inspection. It was when I sat in the car I was more eye level and could see the bolt behind the handle.

What bolt are you talking about? Haven't seen any posts about a bolt issue being one of the QA issues :shrug:

Bolt that holds the door panel on. The plastic cover that hides it was missing on my car. I am pretty sure this was an isolated issue where they just forgot to put the cover on. No big deal.

Just rolled in... been on a "drive about". Enjoying the very wet 2 lanes in middle Georgia as well as being a cop magnet on I-75. The Perelli's don't seem to be worth a Shee!t in the rain though. Still can't get used to Ford's "Better Idea" of swapping the speedo and tach. Do like the new separate wiper arm and the way it's set up. Lousy shifter (hey, it's a FORD!); LOVE the Recardos!

...and I balance this out with my ETA moving from 10/3 to 10/12. :tsk:

Hey, my "original" ETA was 10/1... got moved out to 10/8 (probably by the aliens). Got it on 9/30. If my luck can change (if only for 1 day) yours can too... hang in there, you "Weiner"!

And for you and AngerMgmt who can't see any of my pics (PonyGrrrl too!) and now 350Mike, the blank rear panel from Ford Racing:

Still waiting on the tires, so no more pics 'til the wheels/tires are on. Besides, you guys won't be able to see them anyway! :lol:

Just got an ETA on my GT/CS . November 15. Parts are being assigned to the Mustang now. I now have the VIN # with ETA.................:ford:

And how! Looks Great! Now all you need is a 2 or 3 day "drive about". So glad folks are FINALLY getting their new rides. Same color I originally ordered... still like it better than what I have. But what I have won't disappear on the freeway in a Georgia monsoon. What's that bright object in the sky that is casting shadows around your new ride? Forgot what they call it. Don't think it'll ever be seen in the Southeast again!
