I'm gonna keep it garaged and contact Ford customer service to see if they have any advice for me.

And to tell you the truth, after all my experiences with Ford, it seems like this will be my first and last Ford. Always had a Japanese before this.
Hi CherubAbaddon,

I'll be happy to look into your concerns; please send me a private message with your VIN, odometer reading, full name, phone number, and servicing dealer. I'll see what can be done to help!

Thanks,

Mathieu

So far nothing done on the dealers hand, I'm talking to FordServiceCA, and we may attempt to make another appointment at the same dealership and try to escalate the issue.

Again, this car is sitting in my garage because I dont wan't something similar to the left turn incident happening again where my car lost power.

You have Ford Roadside Service .... tow it to the nearest dealer and tell them you'll pick it up if/when they have found the problem. Then tell them if they to provide you a loaner car so you can get to work and pay for the one thats sitting in their service dept.
You really need to get it to a dealer and say, I'll return when you find the issue and not until. And then remind them the lemon clock is ticking ....

Unfortunately there are no lemon laws in Ontario, Canada. They also do not provide loaner vehicles since thats not part of the plan, its only for the extended warranty package. The other downside to leaving it at the dealer is that they were adding 100+ km/day on the car by driving it home (using it as personal vehicle). My dash cam had picked up that they were constantly revving the car up extremely high.

I'm not concerned with the towing aspect, I'm concerned with the safety aspect of me needing power at a given time and the car fails, possibly causing an accident.

I'm very disappointed in this whole process, and other issues with Ford. I'm unimpressed and I don't know what to do, theres no progress being made.

There are no Lemon laws, but there are lawyers, right? I imagine there are lawyers that specifically deal in issues like this since you don't have lemon laws. I'd contact your local Bar assn and ask about it.

Yes, and I am planning to deal with this through the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan. This is probably my last resort, since Ford does not want to do anything.

Hey CherubAbaddon, how did this issue begin and around what time ?

I also have a 15 v6 mustang and i notice that the idle drops rapidly to around 450-500 rpm then it kicks it back up to around 850 rpm. I have always complained to the service writers about the issue at Idle, i am just wondering that my car will soon be on its way into you situation.

Thanks

Hi Jlfierros, the problem began within one month of me having the car. My car is almost 6 months old now, and at approximately 6200 kms (3800 miles). It doesnt seem to get worse over the days, but it does get worse during the day it occurs. At first the RPM drops from 700 to 450, and a few minutes later, it begins to drop all the way down to 200.

Does yours keep going up and down in frequent cycles like my video?

I would like to frustratingly update you all on what is going on.

I have contacted Ford Customer service, and after 2 business days, received a call back. The call had simply said that if the dealership cannot replicate the issue, there is nothing Ford can do about it.

This car just sits in my garage cause I'm afraid to drive it. It loses power and shakes. I could easily die taking a left turn or changing lanes. BUT, nothing will be done about it from Ford's side. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST FORD!

I'm going to start a process with Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP), something similar to a lemon law (but not as strong).

P.S. this is just one of the several problems I am having with the car, this being the most serious. Again, I'm completely unhappy.

Had same problem, a lingering annoying thing about this engine.

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?p=898257&posted=1#post898257

Please read my post to see any correlation.

My engine failed and ford is replacing it.

If you have ANY mods, try to make the car as stock as possible before you go to your dealership.
Just came across your post. I have absolutely no mods on my car, just a dashcam system (not a mod).

did your rpm change the same way mine did?

And as an update guys, I'm still going through my government's CAMVAP program to get a full refund for my car. I'm still pretty pissed and not buying a Ford again, especially after hearing all of you guys' stories.

I had the same exact issue but much milder. Yours is very extreme how much it goes down and up and how frequent.

If it happens every again, while it is doing it, give it the smallest amount of gas and rev it frequent a bit and see if it keeps doing it or evens out. It might be vacuum or throttle body as well. You have very few miles on your car.
