One of the big advantages for the 991 GT3 is the lightning quick shifting PDK.... plus it hooks pretty well off the line.
dont forget the 911 gt3 is about 500 lbs lighter than the gt350, which is a huuuuuuuge advantage for the 991.

i hate that these cars are so heavy. :(

Dont forget the GT3 is also a dedicated 2 seater near factory race car with a 130k MSRP base..which can easily climb to 170k+ after options ....not including ADM

Absolutely nothing to be "let down" by if the GT3 beats it in the 1/4

The weight and suspension seem to be their biggest Achilles heel.

The GT3 isn't a 2 seater, is it? I thought that was the GT3 RS. The RS is lighter, stiffer, and more powerful with a higher rev limit. I'm afraid that the Shelby isn't going to match that one.

Porsche's current GT3 or GT3 RS cars are all 2-seaters.... courtesy of rear seat delete.

I didn't realize that. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought the GT3 still had the regular 911 "back seat" that's about big enough for a chihuahua to sit on.

Thing better go 11.8 or better, for making everyone wait this long, absolutely absurd to hold back numbers for almost a year after announcing the car

Don't see that happening unless it's the gt350r. 11.8 is aiming high

Factoring power to weight, gearing, weight distribution and Motor Trends statement about having to spin the tires to avoid bogging I would be quite pleased with 12.0-12.1 for nonR

I don't know what world people are in but if I can go 12.5 with a boss 302 bone stock trapping 114 mph I sure as hell hope a car with another 110HP can muster up an 11 second pass. Best I did stock with a drag radial was 12.1 at 115.51. Also have to take in where they are testing. That place has about as much traction as my lawn does at 6:15 AM.

true, and like i have said before motor trend/chevy trend got a 12.3 out of a BOSS 302.there is no reason the GT350 should not be at 11.8,and the R at 11.6.:ford:
