What kind of times are you guys getting using the track apps accelerator 0-60 mph?? Now, I'm by no means a pro driver but I don't suck either and I recorded a whopping 7.6 seconds!!! lmao. Ok maybe I do suck! How accurate is this thing. I don't understand how this car is clocked at 4.5-4.6 seconds. Im not even close. Granted I did not use launch control, its 100 degrees in Vegas, and had been driving for a while. I found a back road and just wanted to test it out. But I feel like it should have at least been in the 5 seconds range!! Is my car a dud? Or am I just that bad at driving lol. I shifted from first at about 5500 rpm and just took it to 60 mph in second.

What times are you guys getting? and yes my car is a GT 5.0

I'm guessing you're not double clutching like you should
No idea how to do it. I was just driving it like I would everyday. I wasn't expecting to get 4.5 seconds but I would think just driving normal and flooring it would get a 435 HP car into the 5 second range?

He's just trolling you, topic has been covered many times I think there's an old thread or two. Line is from Fast and the Furious.

Short story is if you have a GT PP you have to switch into 3rd which is actually above 60 mph before it registers. In general the track apps are just fun toys, not terribly accurate.

5.2 is my best (with the top down lol).... after driving around 300 miles in 95/97 degree weather I was able to pull down a 5.6 without much pain.

You should hit the GT forum and read the 0-60 threads and see what people are saying.

How accurate are the apps? Depends if you are hitting what you think you should. I'm okay with the app... I'd guess if you were hitting low 5s you would be okay with it as well. Track apps are a fun toy... good tool for launching (at least for me).

5.1 is my best time. it helps that 3:31 gears can hit around 62 in second so no need to shift into third.

do not shift at 7k RPM because your are already out of peak power. Peak power is made around 6500 RPM. after that it is declining.

Not necessarily. My car is still pulling at 7. Its more comparable to the boss than the previous 5.0

taken from another members thread. just to help with my point. peak power descends rapidly around 6500 rpm.
you can run it to 7000 and it will still pull. just not as hard.
