Because they are BORING. They make no noise, no smell, have no soul. It is like driving a golfcart with doors. No thank you. I really don't care about the instant torque or the gas savings, or any of the other 'selling points' of electric cars. They will just never do it for me, ever. Besides that, Tesla is an advocate of self driving vehicles, yet another thing I disagree with as a 'driving enthusiast'.
It's kind of the equivalent of the old school guys who will never let go of Carbs, I suppose.

I've spent considerable time behind the wheel of a Tesla & i8 BMW... both are amazing machines!
The reality is... advanced technologies are changing the automotive world at a very rapid pace... both the Tesla & S550 Mustang have benefited from these revolutionary design & manufacturing processes...
As an automotive enthusiast... I can find entertainment in all forms of cool transportation solutions...
Are the Tesla & i8 BMW boring... not in my world!
