NASCAR bought Grand Am and took total control in 2012.

I stopped watching...

Here is the REAL list of approved cars for 2016. Released 5 days ago... Please stop lying to people...

PLUS, an ONBOARD jack system has been approved...

Hmmmmm... In a Factory Class??? Thanks z28!!! For your dumb-f@ckery...

These cars are unconditional

It means there is a reason they won't be competing for points. The Challenger was on the unconditional listing this year... Meaning they needed to comply one way or another...

There are only about 6 teams in GS now. It's near extinction and the jack systems are kinda stupid.
You are a real tool. show me in my post were I lied. Man you will make up anything in your mind to try and promote your propaganda.

Unconditional cars are not approvals, it's merely an open invitation say "please come race". They will need to do a full developement year because NOBODY homologates cars anymore. It's just whatever...

Anyways...

This is what I have been feverishly working on. I have needed to stay up all hours of the night to talk to Germany. It's still early, the guys said the car was splashy but so was the z28 at this level. This is an NA vehicle... I don't think it's a ZL1/z28. It's merely a 1LE type package.

This will be my 3 or 4th week of Ring digging.

It is decades behind the GT350...

Sorry, those cars are unconditional. Meaning they will compete (if anyone shows up) in a development year. This is an open invitation...

Nobody has homologated any of the cars in the list. None of them have been added to the roster with restrictions or specs.

Also, even if approved, TEAMS need to show up.

Just FYI...

The yellow stripes on the Prototype are called "Pit Stripes". They were designed by Carroll Shelby and used on one of two SCCA Cobra Roadsters. Both cars were the traditional Shelby blue and "pit stripes" we're added to distinguish the cars apart from afar.

They have nothing to do with the car mechanically

It's either two of the same car with slightly different setups or two cars that are styled exactly the same but are different models.

Hell, one could be manual and the other auto...

NO SUPERCHARGER WHINE, so stop whining about it...

If it is an LT4, and that is indeed a heat exchanger in front, an AC delete will be mandatory. That is where the AC condenser goes...

Neither car that ran last week produced ZL1 or z28 competitive speeds or times. Of course this is still too early but, the top speed passed Tiergarten wasn't ZL1/z28 competitive...

I'm not sure this is a 500+hp car...

Big weight gains?

The wheel/tire is significantly heavier
The brake systems are heavier
No word on sub-frame, assume ALL LT, SS and Vert reinforcement to be present.
Some suspension beef

A working TR3160 for the LT1, I'm betting it's the only option to save some decent weight. It is expensive though...

Interesting exhaust note...
Sounds like it's a bit more open and it is an LT firing order (as a subject matter expert pointed out). No supercharge whine and it didn't seem to exit as hard or fast as the ZL1/z28.

The ZL1 and z28 achieved a 172mph and 161mph top speed pass Tiergarten. These prototypes were about 5mph off of the z28. If this is correct and my guys in Germany are pretty good, this indicates there is less than 500hp up front. This is all rule of thumb and the timing and speed collection methods are enthusiast driven.

However, my guys told me there were areas of the track with water and puddles. They would not push the car if the track still held water. The track looked okay on the video but I believe they were there for 3 days.

In one video there is a really clear blower whine. I think one is a 1LE test bed, the other a ZXYZ LT4 car

Surprised GM is still using SC with the Corvette (and subsequent Camaros).

It's just ripe for Ford to Terminate... The discussion with twin turbos.

A TT VOODOO would be one naaaasty thing.
