Oh nice seems good tires are a must have on this car lol
After reading through a lot of threads on this forum, I get two things for the EB:

Tune and Tires.

Then some would say intercooler (although I've not seen that very useful on street use...

I replaced my two weak back speakers before thinking about an intercooler. The speakers were more important to me...

Yeah, tires are huge. Before MAP tune I managed a 5.9(MT). After I'm getting a 5.6 but I spin so much. I still have the stock all seasons and I can't get any grip.

I spin quite a bit also depending on what rpm I launch at. Leaving at above 2k rpms just roasts the tires where I lose several tenths of a second in my 0-60

I ran a 5.6, MT, all stock. Who has the fastest 0-60 with MT all stock?

I installed my down pipe today with revised tune and now I just spin the tires. Gotta learn how to launch again. lol

All stock, MT, 5.7 has been the best, usually 5.8-5.9 but ive gotten a few 5.7s.

kinda shocked to see all these people tuned and hovering at the 6's

I was getting 5.4's and after the downpipe and revised tune I got two 6.0's. I tried a couple different launches which just spun the tires. Once they grabbed I was flying.

Track app says 5.9.....but that was after a lot of driving (heat soak) and with cool tarmac. Spun the tires a lot. Best 1/4 was 14.5...

Aside from tune and tires, the most important mod is the driver mod. No offense, but a lot of the time issues are leaving hard with the MT cleanly and grabbing that 2nd gear under power. It took me awhile to learn how to really dig out of a hole with an MT, it just takes a lot of practice.

Now that I am much older I let the computer and mechanicals do the heavy lifting :D

The MT82 just doesn't seem to like to shift quickly and cleanly when I'm on it like that. The 160,000 mile T5 in my 88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe seemed to shift better....and it was overstressed in that heavy car.

That 1st to 2nd shift is really where the 0-60 time gets slaughtered for me. My 2nd gear is very rough and takes some man power to get it into during heavy acceleration and is at times pretty violent are other MT guys experiencing the same thing? My launch is pretty decent with limited apin leaving at 2K. Do you guys feather the clutch during launch of just dump for the launch?

Makes me long for the days when one of the first mods was a Pro 5.0 or Steeda Tri-Ax. Set the positive stops where you want and just hammer the shifter as had as you could. I abused my fair share of T5,45, and 56's.

I assume for the sake of drivability the new transmissions aren't as easy to row under full power. Just gotta find what the magic trick is..

Apparently synchromesh fluid. I guess I'll pm Ford service with questions/complaints and when I take it in for the first oil change I'll see what the dealer says
