When several dealers GM's are telling me the same thing maybe they do know something. When the Ford rep says your first allocations are coming up....so place your orders . I think that means something.I seriously doubt dealers know anything for sure. They are speculating based on what they hope will happen. There is certainly some reason for the delay over than "we have other cars to build"...otherwise, why sit on the 2015s?
That said, I wouldn't worry TOO much about it...It happens with a lot of new cars...a certain number get built before they find a production issue and they write a repair procedure then go back and apply it to the cars that are already built, before delivery. Once the wrinkles are ironed out, production is modified and continues. The reason for the delay should eventually trickle out..and if it doesn't, it's possible it's just what they alluded to - they are building Mustangs for the world now and they have launch dates to meet. They have an obligation to their stockholders and you can bet they are going out of their way to deliver these tens of thousands of cars overseas, on time.
I guess I'm saying, it could be for many reasons...some having nothing to do with the GT350. The only thing that concerns me is the 2015s sitting...why?
