People with nGauge

Just received my nGauge in the mail and I am having a hard time getting it to connect to the computer.

What are the steps/processes you took after unboxing the ngauge? How did you get the computer to connect to it for updating the firmware and bios?

I don't have one, but I thought everything was done via the memory card?

Yup, I just received mine on Saturday and I didn't see any instructions in package. Basically what I did was plug it into the car and load the tune. I had emailed Jon from Lund racing and he responded the following day to do just as I did. Just plug it in. Mine shipped with the most recent firmware. So far I have driven it about 10 miles and it was night and day. Throttle response was way better, shifting was solid and crisp. No WOT yet but I might go take it tomorrow to my local 1/8 mi track and see what difference it made. my car is A6 with 3.15 gearing.

They still work in my car. If I flip the mode toggle switch it still holds the gears higher in the RPM like stock and still rev match on the downshifts when slowing down. I did notice that shift firmness was felt more in regular mode than in Sport or Track. WOT on D regular takes shift point all the way to 7200 RPM's! Haven't WOT from a dead stop but I'm sure it will spin second with this tune and 3.15 gears! WOT runs where done on the hwy for no more than 5 seconds, I let off right after shifting gears. Major improvements over stock programming and I'm still running a stock air intake. Highly recommend this product, even tho it's a bit pricey. Good thing you can keep using it the more mods you install on the car.

Incorrect. The modes will function as before.

The gauge comes with a base tune. Datalog to refine...
