So, we now own (more or less...) probably one the most famous sport cars of the world: I think it's time to unleash the power and show some numbers!
On the basis of Quattroruote (an Italian car magazine) the onboard acceleration app underestimates real performance: 5,8 secs may be 5,6 for real (for example).
I would suggest to couple some other systems to the onboard track apps to calculate acceleration. I have the Android "Torque" application on my phone, which registers data coming from the ECU via a bluetooth OBD2 dongle.

My dealer also told me that it is not even certain the power of the EcoBoost model, since during the europeization they may have changed the map to stay within CO2 parameters (or something like that). He talked about 320 PS...

So, who will be the first showing some numbers? :)

Oh I'm pretty sure they're on the up and up with regards to the power - since several countries here have taxes based on that too... They did however tweak the Ecoboost manual (it's got the 3.31 gearing instead of 3.55) so that specific model would get below 180g CO2 (which is a magic number for some countries) and would receive a lower price...

Mustang available now FROM price is very important... and this is also why the Auto Ecoboost costs that much more than the MT compared with the GT.

Haven't got a car so I can't give you any 0-60s - but even if I did I'm not sure I have any roads where I could test it :D

Aaaand are you talking about 0-60 MILES per hour? Thought only the UK used that archaic measurement system ;) Though I guess it sounds better than 0-95,6kmh :D

Once my Eco engine break-in has been properly done (I am at 1000km now). I will give it a shot via torque app and OBD2. Those times are pretty accurate usually.

BTW a german car magazine has tested the GT and was only able to achieve 5.1 sec (0-100 kmh). So I am sure even 5,8 in the Eco will be quite a challenge and needs perfect conditions. Luckily I know plenty of good roads, where I'm not even breaking the law by doing 0-100 ;)

Someone i know managed 0-100 in 4.6s in a GT. Measured with OBD and a phone app. His car has 6000km on the clock. Same time he also managed 267km/h using same app, so true speed. Crazy :headbonk:

As an x-owner of Maserati, please don't mix potatoes with tomatoes....

There is not only 0-100 number.

Also dont forget that Quattroporte is almost 2tons of weight!
I know this is a mustang forum but honestly you can't compare the plastic thing of 30K USD with this elegant hand made and pure passionate beauty:

You misunderstood me: I was talking about Quattroruote, an italian car MAGAZINE, which recently tested the 2015 Mustang.

There's no worst place to snob a Mustang... than a Mustang forum!

And please have mercy of mere mortals as me who can barely afford a Mustang EcoBoost... :hail:

it's ironic like we that design and build some of the best cars in the world (Lamborghini, Maserati, Ferrari..) cannot have them not because are too expensive itself (well, for that reason too), but because our government discourage in all way the possession of such beautiful cars.

papinist - wouldn't your towns and roads be a problem if you all drove big nice cars? In Norway we have mostly proper wide roads, but I see parking spots shrinking everytime I drive by :D And when I was in France last (small town but still) the roads were so tiny that 2CV's hardly could drive by each other (not helped by everyone using the roads for parking either!) :D

I would think mini's and fiat 500's would be the "weapon of choice" in crowded old European towns...?
