I have not been able to find anything on this forums on fitment of the GT upper grille. I am in the process of installing the front bumper back on and testing the fit. This was a crappy project indeed given how sucky bodywork can be, even though its not at all complicated.

Anyone with an EB has attempted this, shed some light. It was a cheap take-off and looks a lot better than the EB's, but damn I was ready to saw that ish off and order something aftermarket haha. If it doesnt fit im going to burn the car down

It'll fit, just went through the process myself. You really have to push the clips in, I finally just started banging the area with the clips from the front with a fist.

Where specifically are you worried about the fit?

I've had my GT upper and lower grills since I got my car in December... still sitting in my garage. LOL.

I'll be doing my lower GT swap when I do the intercooler. I definitely didn't plan this out well.

Did this conversion a couple of months ago. Love the new look. Did top and bottom. Took many flat head screw drivers to hold the tabs in while I pried the rest. It was a tight fit and took a bit of effort, but well worth it. You do have to lose the shutters.

UPDATE

finished this afternoon, everything fits perfectly

I didnt try the lower grille but the upper one fits without modification or removal of the shutters. Shutters are working perfectly. I didnt do the bottom since I have ACC and I want to keep the box protected

Appreciate everyone's input, it was such a relief to read some of these responses knowing all the work I did was not in vain. Will be posting a write-up soon with some tips/tricks that install videos dont reveal

Yeah... no.

I want to pull the bumper off exactly once. So I am waiting until I have an oil cooler and front mount to install.

The trick is to really get the tabs to set in the new grille. I'll be taking mine off next week for an I/C install and plan to reset some of the clips that didn't get fully seated the first time around.

Makes me wonder what it looks like at the part of the assembly line- workers banging the hell out of bumpers to get the grilles to lock in, lol.

I did the GT grille swap on my EB when i had it and you can keep the shutters if you want. No need to delete them if you don't want to.

Is there anything you have to do to keep the shutters? Or just keep em there and everything will fit fine?

IIRC you had to take them off in order to complete the swap. I guess you can put them back on if others are saying they're compatible. With my swap, I just left them off.

I can't imagine they're as effective as the GT grille is more recessed, the shutters would have very little space to function.

I have mine, waiting to install them with my IC (which is on order). Same boat - I only want to pull the bumper off once.
