ride quality? I have a limited edition 50yr anniversary Mustang and i love the way it handles and the ability to control the steering and throttle response but as an everyday driver it has by far the most harsh ride of any car I have ever owned. Ford has done a wonderful job with the fit and finish and interior quality that rivals Audi and BMW but there needs to be a happy medium between handling (which is very good) and ride quality IMO if they want to take that next step.

After a few thousand miles I'm starting to agree that it's somewhat bouncy but thank God I have very quiet interior:hail:

I wanted my 2015 as a long distance driver. I also own a Toyota Yaris (for the mpgs) and a Chevy Silverado 2500HD (for hauling). Friends have commented on how harsh the short wheel base Yaris rides but expect a rough suspension in the Pickup. But they and I have concluded that my non-PP convertible has a ride more bumpy than the little Yaris and barely smoother than the Silverado. I nearly ordered the PP-version, but I am now glad that I stayed with the standard suspension.

You both bought the upgraded (meaning stiffer) suspension option then complained it is stiffer? This forum will never cease to amaze me. Now your bouncy comment I agree with this is far too bouncy and it needs to be stiffer with better track tuned dampers. Ford racing has an excellent setup for that! (Will not address your complaint in any way though)

You are exactly correct.....bouncy. I just drove it from my home to Charleston W.V. a 300 mile trip and even on a relatively smooth interstate it bounces. It is exceptionally quiet but I was honestly sore from the constant bouncing. I thought that perhaps my tires were over inflated but when I checked them the had 35lbs each. I have driven both a 3 series BMW and and Audi S5 on that exact same trip and they both rode very smoothly. Just wondering if it's just my car or do others have this problem.

Didn't have a choice of suspensions with the limited edition. The last two cars I owned a BMW 330CI and an Audi S5 also had stiff suspensions, but the ride quality was much better.....I guess that's why they are several thousand dollars more expensive but shows it can be done.

this car is far from harsh imo...pp or not, lowered or not, air or not. etc.

I mean it's a sports car it's supposed to handle not feel like a caddy!

Coming out of a Fiesta ST the ride is comparatively soft in my opinion. It is a bit bouncy on my Performance pack but nothing even remotely jarring. Compared to my 04' GT before that the ride quality is miles ahead in its ability to soak up bumps and not hop and skip around, it handles the bumps, dips, and rough roads vastly better.

It's all subjective I guess.

Yes all of the limited edition cars do.
That explains it. People have swapped springs out and said it got rid of all bounciness. Steeda progressives in particular get some praise for making it feel smoother AND less bouncy, but I cant vouch for that.

No complaints here... Car rides smooth. I attribute any bumpiness to the large rims.

Non-PP by the way

I have the Premium 5.0 with 20's, set the selectable drive mode to Track every time I get in the car, and I don't have any complaints with the ride. I go over a lot of F'd up roads and railroad crossings in my daily commute and my suspension handles all of that with ease. It is a stiffer ride compared to the "soft" cars but I feel the damping in my car is perfect for me. No complaints here. I love my 5.0!:headbang::ford:

Seems like your tire pressure is causing the bounciness. I have driven mine on smooth highways with no bounce and if at all, that is due to the uneven road wave like effect. My tire pressure is always at 33psi.

A high quality pair of rear shocks will take care of our bounciness .
