The fastest EB I have seen so far went 11.1 with a bone stock motor and a Precision 55mm. I may be wrong on the exact setup, but it is an untouched long block.

I'm expecting 10 before the engine should need to be opened up. Maybe even 10.5 before things start breaking.

Could a Honda honestly do the same?

It's already been done. If you think Hondas are slow once boosted your misguided. They have the aadvantage of being 1000 pounds lighter than a Mustang.

Just curious

I'm skeptical 10.5 is possible on the stock motor. The 11.1 car has some significant weight reduction and should hit 10's without much more effort. It might do it though because they ran 11.1 on the stock converter.

Probably. The thing EVERYONE needs to remember is there are multiple, multiple platforms to go fast with. There is no car that is perfect for everyone which is why these emotional debates get so ridiculous.

In my experience A high stall converter is worth close to half a second by it's self. The 9 inch converter I installed in my 95 was worth exactly half a second.

How many articles about B-series and K-series swaps in this civic or that civic have I seen, I should be paying attention

I knew a friend of my dad's old business partners son who had a blue 8th gen civic si with a turbo claiming it pushed out 480ish whp and could take down ferrari's with it, I believe thats possible

I should see if I can find them so they could answer my quetions

I've had multiple swapped/turbo EF,EK, EG platform civics. Motors ranged b16's,b18's to b20/vtec turbos. On a Stock b16 block with no worries I could run an 11.5 at 118. Right around 17 lbs of boost as long as I had race gas. As long as you had your timing inline and fuel the Bseries blocks held up fine into the high 10's. In my b20/vtec turbo I pushed around 450 whp but I also had a fairly build bottom end and valve train. This was all back in the late 90's so I am sure the k series swaps make more power and have a stronger block. I heard you can drop a stock k20 into a hatch and have a low 12 sec car... In the end it is still a Honda (I wouldn't kick an s2000 outa my garage though)

S2K and NSX are the only two Honda's I can think of off the top of my head I wouldn't mind driving

My Challenger does a few things well

A car that has doesn't do anything particularly well?
Makes big torque and HP
Slams you in the seat
Stops quick
Handles pretty damn good

Most importantly--turns heads

It's black, silver stripes, red interior, 87mm "true" TB, ported intake, Mopar CAI, Mopar Strut Braces, Mopar stage 1 lowering springs, Magnaflow Comp catback exhaust, custom tune.
