Except it's misquoted. It often is I don't know why lol.

As for quality, fit, finish, etc it's tough to beat Whipple, KB, or Roush. They all make quality kits. My personal preference is Whipple since I've used them before and had great success.

I got his point but in my head I was thinking "I'm your huckleberry" [emoji57]

Beefcake is right, all can get you what you want. Just comes down to pers nap preference. As you can see we are all slightly biased as to what we have on our cars. ;)

Sounds good, I'm down in Westchase. I'll private message you and we will see what we can do. We can get pics, side by side and some test hits

I'm in Brandon with a stock GTPP and can be the unbiased opinion of the two cars. I'll even bring my camera.

Doesn't the motor have to be lowered some for the Kenne Bell setup to clear the hood?

It does yes. The Billet motor mounts are included in the kit and are significantly stronger than stock.

I do believe you are correct here.
I think the KB kit comes with a pair of motor mounts that lower the engine some.

That seems like a pretty extreme step to have to do. Does this change things like the angle of the transmission which in turn changes things like pinion angle which can affect universal joints and other things?

Takes a half hour at the most, tops. They are stronger than stock and a much better piece. Remember we have two piece drive shafts, also it doesn't change the angle very much at all.

Two piece was built around cost and lower NVH, you still need to correct the pinion angle if you alter it. More so for the rear of the car than the front.

Any of the kits I think you'll like, we can do full custom kits for Roush, Vortech, Whipple, VMP and Procharger. You can use any tuner you'd like as well for these kits, the tunes that are coming from the companies arent too bad, conservative but safe.

Again, its all in preference really.

People have been installing drop mounts in Mustangs for 15 years.. It's a non-issue, and you get a stronger billet/poly mount in the process. It's included with the kit, and takes 15-30 minutes with a lift, or on the ground.

Heat Soak

I'm curious about heat soak in the Whipple type blowers. I have two shops here in AZ that claim the Pro Charger/ Vortech style blowers suffer less temp fluctuations. Can somebody address this?

Sounds more and more like the Whipple is the highest quality kit (by my criteria). Roush /FR kit requires some grinding/cutting of front cover of motor and also there's been some reports of intermittent loss of power on the included tune. Can't find any details about the Kenne Bell install or driveability, but the additional step of having to install motor mounts over the Whipple is a knock against it and someone mentioned the fit and finish isn't as good. My criteria is probably a lot different than typical. I'm willing to make less power to get a higher quality part/design and better reliability/driveability with least chance of issues.

Honestly KB has great fit and finnish. They also use high quality parts and have great reliability. This all needs to be noted but to me they, out of all other kits combined, look the furthest from OEM. Not meant to be a knock on them, it's just you mentioned this is important to you. The motor mounts are no big deal actually but I get where you are coming from.

When it comes to OEM integration and looking like it was installed factory in my opinion Whipple takes the cake. No cutting, hi quality parts and looks like it came that way from the factory.

Vortec and the like look great and I'm sure use great parts and have good reliability, they just don't look OEM.

I am only talking about looking the most OEM here and I am not factoring in anything else as this is what seems the most important to the OP.
