This. I'm leaning towards misinformation somewhere in the chain.
With my dealer or the sheet?

My bet is the dealer. If its a 2015 it should have been built or at least assigned (locked in) by this point.
I was thinking the same thing.

There may be a chance that this is true. My car was slated to be built on the 3rd. But I found out yesterday morning from the Ford Rep. That my car was pushed back to the 10th. So maybe they didn't finish the 15 run yet and that's why they pushed mine back???? I would definitely make sure that this dealer your working with contacts there Rep and make sure 100% without a doubt what they are telling you is correct. I still think they may be incorrect though. How in the Hell can they take your order tomorrow and push the paperwork thru and have this car built b4 the 10th now!??? It takes like 20 hours for the car to go down the production line from start to finish. They would need to start the car on Thursday. Of course they could push the 16's off another few days. Who knows????

If he will do 5k then I'll pull the trigger. Can always use more negotiation skills. :cheers:
Sounds like a good move to me. Good luck!

I hear ya! I'm lucky my guy is not even a salesman for the dealership. He's 2nd in command and a personal friend. So I can call him day or night any day and he will answer. On top of that he has copied me on every email or text to the ford rep and the rep has done the same. It's been super easy. I sometimes know whats going on b4 he does. I didn't even have to haggle about the price of the car. MRSP it is and never has it been even discussed. Of course I also have bought 8 vehicles in the last 2 years for my company. So I don't think they wanted to piss me off and loose my business.

I hope you can at least sleep tonight.
Haven't slept well since he said I could get a 2016 at stick IDK how long ago haha. Every night its been "what color combo" what options" "when will it be here" See we used to work with a dealer where my parents live and when she pre ordered a 2007 gt500 2 years in advanced we agreed on sticker. Well the weekend before it came in that jumped up to 20k over and we havent worked with them since even though thats where my parents bought all their vehicles. Needless to say I'm a little cautious when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I have a unique opportunity and would like to get some members opinions. The dealer I've been working with on a 2016 350 is getting a 2015. I called and asked what color it was and what they were asking for it. My salesman came back and said it has not been ordered yet and if I decide to get it I can choose whatever options I want. However, unlike the 2016, they want 10k over. Normally I would say no and just wait for a 2016 but this is a car I intend to keep for a very long time and see it as a possible investment opportunity, not that that really matters to me. It will still be my daily driver but knowing that it will be a one of 50 car especially in a market where rare mustangs and shelbys go for astronomical numbers I am seriously considering it. I will try and talk them down to 5k over maximum. Again I just want to see what other members have to say about it. Thanks!!! :cheers:
If your dealership has an allocation for a 2015 GT350 and has not placed his order with respect to color, options etc. as of now I will be totally shocked.

It is my understanding that all 2015 GT350 orders had to be in by the end of the work day on Friday, June 5th and that includes orders that were provided through their internal lottery system to some very lucky dealers along with all purchase offers to VIP's?

I would suggest that your dealer is grossly misinformed as far as you being able to order a 2015 model but I have been wrong many times before?

BTW, from my standpoint if you can order a 50th Anniversary 2015 Shelby GT350 just as you want the car at $10,000 over at this point in the game it is a pretty easy decision from my standpoint.

I wish you the best of luck with this transaction and hope that I am totally wrong here?

Keep us all posted!!

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I think that no matter what it will be collectable. Yeah I know mileage is a big factor in the collector car market but still I'd rather enjoy the car collectable or not.

It's a hard pill for me to swallow. Has nothing to do with finances just thinking am I willing to pay that much over sticker for a car. Rare? Yes. Possibly collector car worthy? Maybe. I know that it is a once in a lifetime opportunity and if I can get the ADM down to what I feel is reasonable I will put my name on the dotted line. I hope they aren't miss informed because I kind of have my hopes up for this one. Once I find out what the deal is I'll make a new post about it. Thanks man!!:cheers:
