Think Dr. Colorchip would work to fill in a few small silver nicks on a gloss black wheel? I was going to order gloss black ford touch up paint but seeing / hearing the praises for Dr. Colorchip on paint got me wondering

It's probably a bit expensive for wheels when the touchup is like $10. You wont notice touchups on wheels as much being lower on the car and no one gets nose close to the wheels.

i would still do dr colorchip because of how smooth it goes on and it's easy to layer. sometimes people go nuts with touch up pens but that's me

although... a good ole sharpie might just do perfect too.

Confirmed: Sharpie works on the black PP wheels when the curb rash isn't too deep.

I was just thinking about this today. I suppose you would need to get the paint code from the dealer and pass along to Dr. CC?

Yes!
We've had widespread flooding and heavy rain. Has not faded the Sharpie yet.
Sharpie still going strong, haven't reapplied yet, but it's definitely missing the gloss when compared to a clean PP wheel.
