Any magnetic owners have good results with it fixing stone chips?

I have two chips that need attention!

Can't see the pics but I use Ford's touch up pen. Exact paint plus clear coat and cheap.

Ooof...tips on uploading pictures? Every forum seems different.

One of the chips is pretty deep.

I have a Ford pen with Magnetic paint. I've used it 2 times and the color seems to be a bit lighter than the paint on the car. Whenever you make the repair, just dab a little in the spot, let it dry then repeat until its built almost evenly to the clear coat. Then dab some clear on there.

Imgur no longer works if that's how you're trying to post pics.

Can you post a picture so i can see if i can tell a difference in shade?

I'll see what I can do, and there's no doubt you'll notice a color difference.

I have used Ford's paint pen, and I find the color to be slightly lighter.

I have also used Dr. Colorchip, and found it to be slightly darker...

Makes me wonder if I should just mix the two lol.

Any metallic paint is going to be near impossible to 100% match (I had this issue on my 2009 vista blue).

The metallic flake in the paint does not spread the same in touchup paint dabbing a dot/blob on there as being sprayed evenly out of a paint gun across the whole panel at one time.

It's always going to look lighter or darker depending on how the light hits the repair due to the flake.

One huge reason I went black and would not even consider a metallic color on my S550.

Here you go. Luckily the spot I touched up isn't very visible.

Yep...it stands out.

I think i'll take it to the custom paint and body shop near by and see what they think. Really bummed out about the whole situation.
