EB software power upgrade ?

Anyone aware of a software power upgrade as mentiond in car & driver July 15? Or are they just refering to the Ford Racing tune announced for Q3/4 ?

The House of EcoBoost has acknowledged the 2.3-liter engine’s shortcomings to a degree and is working on a software fix to unlock more power that customers will be upgraded to under warranty in the coming months.

hmm, i think there was a thread on this a short while back. I think it had that quote in it too. i think it was discussed as being an attempt to keep up with the new camaro if the power numbers of that came up for 2016

ROUSH Yates has upgrades available Peddel Max and Boost Max that will give you better response and 5 psi of boost. We put one on the dyno over there and with just those 2 things added it made 326 RWHP and it does not void warranty.

There is another one that on our test RS1 is making 365 RWHP. I don't know if it is available to the public as of yet but can check for you if you like.

Interesting, so does this just plug straight into the OBD2 port and change parameters from there? Once unplugged the system reverts back to stock, thus being undetected??? Way to think outside the box, if that's the case!
