Free Power Upgrade From Ford?

This Car & Driver article from July says the "House of EcoBoost has acknowledged the 2.3-liter engine’s shortcomings to a degree and is working on a software fix to unlock more power that customers will be upgraded to under warranty in the coming months."

Have there been any updates on this? It sounds like a free upgrade for current EcoBoost owners? Any idea how much the power/torque increase would be?

Go with a well known tuner on this forum. Livernois, MAP (Adam), or Unleashed (Torrie) all three produce excellent numbers.

Well, if what the article says is true, it sounds like a free upgrade versus a paid upgrade.

I'm also leasing so can't do anything to void the warranty.

I'm sitting in the service department of my dealer now and they don't know anything about. But, my guy said he believes it and will let me know if/when it comes out.
