So after "helping" install the wheel with smdandb2, and by help I mean I plugged in the audio controls and drove him to get a 15/16" socket; I have to say, that wheel is so much better than the standard S550 wheel.

I happened to drive a 2015 Audi Q7 TDI S-Line the next day, and all the nice, soft leather that is wrapping the Q7 wheel, feels the same as the leather on the flat bottom of the GT350 wheel. Stock S550 leather is rough in comparison. The alcantara is one of those things that just make driving the car nicer. Once it is readily available, I'll also be ordering one for my car.

I can see it now. There will be a whole bunch of pissed off GT350 buyers in a few months because their car can't be built due to lack of steering wheels in the supply chain. :p

I ordered one yesterday just in case I have to fall back to a GTPP. I figured if I do end up with a GT350 I'll have a spare, or can sell it. I got the same canned "end of september" email from Danielle. If my dealer calls me up and says "They have your GT350 almost done but they're waiting on steering wheels." I can say "have them ship it, I have one!"

Again, thank you for the help sir.

I get a huge smile on my face every time I drive my car now... even more than I had before.

My luck, the airbag would go off when I plugged it in.
That is a great fear I have whenever I touch anything airbag related.

When I hooked it back up, I made sure to do it so if it did pop it wasnt going to break my arm off and cause me to punch myself in my face.
