Check your Diode Dynamics switchbacks for flickering!

I don't want to talk bad about the company but I've seen several people on here having issues on the first round of these falling out and not fitting, then two months later they released a 2.0 version that fit and work great.

The problem is though, that now several people are reporting that their switchbacks are flickering regardless how many times they check if they're loose. I ordered mine and thought I had no issues until I could see my car in the reflection of others at lights and they would briefly flicker here and there and yes I was a bit mad since they're $70 but life kept going.

Fast forward to yesterday and I saw in the reflection they were flickering worse so I turned them off but I can't during night time and I guess they got to the point they were flickering consistently enough that the person in front of me thought I was an undercover cop and pulled over...

LONG STORY SHORT, check your switchbacks. I've contacted DD on this matter and hoping to get a replacement and going back to the stocks until I get a) my money back or b) a working replacement.

I am getting the same thing on my switchbacks :( I love the lights but I would hate to get pulled over for that. I wonder if installing their capacitor would fix it?

I mean I found it a bit comical that they were flickering so bad that it literally looked like undercover cop lights, worst case scenario if you do get pulled over it will simply be a fix-it ticket or a "warning"

Haha I'm not paying another penny to get something fixed that should work out of the box as advertised, plus I like the out of whack galloping blinker sound it creates due to the lack of a capacitor :ford:

I have had the same issue as well.. I was extremely disappointed with Diode Dynamics for the money I had spent on it. You would think for the price they charge, the bulbs would be of a high quality.

That's ~$95 CAD that I wish I spent on gas in my car instead..

I've had them on for about a month now with no issues so far. Hoping it stays that way.

About 3 months into ownership now, started at about 3-5 weeks.

I have not had that Problem with mine, and I hope that I do not, I love the look of them on my mustang, I'm hoping that you guys and gals that are having the Problem, on your cars, will get that Straightened out..... :cheers:

I had that problem, also noticed it on another vehicle's reflection. Pulled out the bulb and put back in, no problems. I think it's the contact wire was bent and not making a great contact.

I had flickering problems and just sent them back. I'd rather have plain orange bulbs that work than white bulbs that flicker at random.
