The Recaro's kept me out of a Focus ST3 that I was shopping for when I picked up the Mustang instead.
I was living with the Recaro's but the stock seats are way better

Nice ride..looks awesome!

I'm surprised how many threads we see of people trading in already to upgrade to the 5.0.
Congrats!
I'm not surprised.

Ford should have put the EB in the entry model and focused it mainly on MPG like Chevy did with the 6G Camaro with some good performance.

Ford should have did more with the V6 and put it in the middle of the EB and V8.

I think more people would be completely happy with the V6 and it's sound if it was in premium AND was tuned/upgraded with more HP/TQ like Chevy is doing with theirs in the 6G Camaro and you wouldn't see as many upgrading to the base GT.

Ford got it right, you just can't accept that. With the world's most modified car, putting the EB in the middle makes the most performance sense. That is why we already have multiple 500whp EB cars, multiple 11 sec EB cars, and multiple 12 sec bolt on/tune EB cars. The Mustang is a performance car and that is some impressive performance from the #3 Mustang in the line up. But you're right, Ford messed up...

 if they set it up like the camaro I wouldn't have bought it.
It comes from the factory with decent hp and has crazy good potential.
Ford nailed it IMO.

And here I was thinking I was crazy for wishing I'd gotten the GT instead of the EB and considering trading up.

Oh well...I'll just be patient and pay the loan off early and trade up in a couple years

Starlord, why does your base GT have the premium bumper? I have seen accidents where this occurs from the factory, however.

I would never buy the 4 cylinder Camaro: Its MPG still not great and has less power than a BMW 4 series coupe. The Mustang EB on the other hand does have more power than said BMW and costs less, so this is a relatively good deal. The v6 would be useless here as the emissions tax alone would make it more expensive than BMW's and when you're in that territory you might as well buy the GT.

I think Ford's strategy is playing out really well.

:amen: brother Cheap Turbo rear wheel drive and huge tuning potential. All the stuff that has had me driving Japanese cars for the last 20 years.

The Japanese have lost their way (I.E. 370z BRZ/Ft86 twins) and gotten to expensive, non turbo and hard to mod.

To say Ford nailed it with the Ecoboost is an understatement, just look at the sales numbers and aftermarket support. This will be my first American car and I'm 38. No way will the crap 275 hp, at the same price!, Camaro sell anywhere near as many.
