Highly doubtful given the strong resale value of B302's. Especially the '13's.
Absolutely true. I'm sorry it makes the owners of '13 Boss Mustangs suffer. You probably don't want to hear what used ones are selling for (not listed for) in the Midwest either.

Stop spewing misinformation. I just sold my B302 for $40K.... And you're not going to be able to get your hands on a good one (under 10K miles, no stories) for under $38K. '12's go for less.

Holy crap - use some of that money for a bottle of chill pills. Maybe I meant that the market for used Boss 302s is surprisingly strong - higher prices now than the last new one sold for last year. Within 150 miles, during the last month there was a '13 at $43K, a '12 at $37K and a guy who got $38K for his '12 in trade for a truck. Those deals are all strong money, which is cool because some people thought the value for used Boss 302s would tank and they could get one cheap when everyone dumped them to get GT350s. That's certainly not happening around here.

Boss 302 values are pretty strong here too, mid to high 30s for a nice low-mile one. When you can find one, that is.

I searched hard for a white '13 but couldn't find the right one, it wasn't until I bought my '15 did a couple appear. Oh well, I was somewhat at odds with the stark B302 interior (despite lusting for the rest).....

I asked a coworker about this, from what he said IIRC Ford would have to make a whole lot more that 5000 Units for it to affect anything for CAFE standards and the Mustang. As its Fleet number which resides proportionally with take rate. Seeing as the Eco Boost, V6 represent ad very large chunk of that pie and get impressive mileage coupled with other vehicles. The GT350 is relatively safe in that regard.

A similar approach is used in crash tests.

I will ask him again tomorrow as this is a topic he is very familiar with in working with on of our clients.

I also dont think Ford has adopted the new 1234YF AC units which is a way to buy CAFE credits, active grill shutters ect.
The GT350 all ready pays the gas guzzler tax. I think it it factored in at a diff rate, after the tax is met.

40K for a boss 302, someone got bent over. Unless the MT-82 was replaced with a tremac already,

Lol... I guess you figure the MT82, while I agree it has its woes, makes or breaks the car. That's not correct.

$40K is very realistic.

I wouldn't let mine go south of $50K...

Again I have to respectfully disagree with you.

What do you think a low mileage 2013 Boss 302 Pilot Production car should go for these days?

It was a traded in. And they'll make money on it. You don't know what you're talking about.

When a 2011-2012 GT500 can be had for that price range... B302 loses, all day. Bad buy passing up a Shelby for those.

Depends... The Shelby is a straight line car. The Boss will out perform it on a twisty track all day long. I have both a GT500 and a Boss. The Shelby is a brute of a power machine and that's it. The Boss drives as docile as a Focus, yet when stomped on, is as pure a racer as any Mustang ever was.

Besides, I see 11/12 GT500's going for less than the B302s and I doubt they'll ever retain value as the B302 will.

They are brutes, yes.. they do put in work on handling too though. My 12' with Perf. Pack was no slouch in the twisties... Of course, I preferred the straight line stuff anyway. But yes, the Boss is tailored for the road course stuff.

Personally, I am not inclined to make a vehicle purchase based on potential resale. I want it to drive the crap out of it and enjoy.
