If demand was high, limits to production from supply or self-imposed for exclusivity could be changed by Ford, obviously. However the one external that cannot is CAFE standards. Can anyone who is arguing for increased production please inform us of the number of GT350s Ford's internal management has decided upon to meet these standards? If not, how can you be arguing for production to meet a higher demand at the risk of serious fines?

Interestingly, there was only 1 2012 yellow w/ white stripes combo and I know where that car is and it is for sale in immaculate condition.
It was on eBay last week, and got bid up well in excess of $50K and never met reserve. Neat car, I was interested, but not at that dollar amount. ;)

Can you prove this? I don't remember any 2012 B302's sitting on dealer lots cause I bought my 2013 in April 2014, two years after production ceased on the 2012 MY B302 and there were none anywhere on lots I could find, except for the Pilot Production cars, of which had just been released to the public not long prior to 2014.
I bought my Red 2012 Boss 302 with Recaro package in May 2012. Got it for about 4k under MSRP. There were two more on the lot with the same deal. There were 9 2012 Boss 302s within a 200 mile radius of me on Autotrader advertised under MSRP at that time.

One of the dealers here had a 2013 Boss on the showroom floor until mid-2014. The problem wasn't price, it was lack of interest.

And your point is?... Cruisinaround said they're still on the lot today, unsold, not titled.

I can honestly tell you that pics do not do the car justice. It is an absolutely beautiful car and well worth more than what was bidded. You have to remember that in 5 years, 1 of 1 vehicles with all the documentation that car has, will be worth much more.

Give it a break Dude. You've had more people than I can count at this point attempting to open your eyes to the fact that there will not be any shortage of these cars. Always works that way. Nobody who has wanted an SE Mustang and had the resources to buy was ultimately denied. Why does this simple concept seem to be so difficult for you? You are acting like a car salesman.

Highly doubtful given the strong resale value of B302's. Especially the '13's.

Yeah, I suppose I can be quite difficult at times... My apologies. It's just when people make uneducated assumptions to a real situation, such as you did earlier, it causes confusion. If you can't see the writing on the wall then get some glasses man.

Even posting resourceful information was not enough for you. With that, I won't defer from the OP's original topic any longer.

His earlier post documents what Ford is planning to build for the 2016 model year for the GT350.

All I hear from you is a bunch of comments based on speculation?

What are you bringing to the table other than just speculation? I don't see any supporting documentation from your side?

Ford "planned" to build 3-5 thousand GT500s, they built 48,000! Ford planned to build a few thousand Mach1s, they built 16,000 of them. Do you see a pattern? How hard is this to comprehend? They will build as many as they can sell. Jeeeeezus.

Hey man, don't use the Lord's name in vain please...

I will concede with you that you are absolutely 100% correct!!! Ford will build as many as they can sell and in this case they will build probably 5,000 units in total for 2016 and sell the hell outta every one of them.

I get your point of view but will still enjoy driving my 2015 GT350 regardless of how many they build?

Even though we don't agree on production volumes for this car your comments are duly noted.

I asked a coworker about this, from what he said IIRC Ford would have to make a whole lot more that 5000 Units for it to affect anything for CAFE standards and the Mustang. As its Fleet number which resides proportionally with take rate. Seeing as the Eco Boost, V6 represent ad very large chunk of that pie and get impressive mileage coupled with other vehicles. The GT350 is relatively safe in that regard.

A similar approach is used in crash tests.

I will ask him again tomorrow as this is a topic he is very familiar with in working with on of our clients.

I also dont think Ford has adopted the new 1234YF AC units which is a way to buy CAFE credits, active grill shutters ect.
