I was thinking about this too. I could see their being a few unique things.Sounds like the car felt like a lot more than 525 horsepower for some reason. He knows what to expect from a 525 hp power level.
Whether it is a good amount lighter than the GT or another reason, he was definitely taken by surprise. Even shifting to HIGHER gear, she went sideways a bit.
This is all so... Very exciting. LOL
Carbon fiber wheels will accelerate like nobody's business.
And I'm sure it wasn't that warm in the UK that day and most of the road was in shade and there wasn't much heat in the tires.
I wonder whether that sudden torque increase in the middle of the RPM range also caught him out a little. I notice the Coyote does that too. There's a certain RPM band - maybe where the cam timing is changed a certain way - that you feel a strong surge of power come on. If you've never driven the car it will surprise you.
